My problem with the whole direct was that they only revealed 1 character from the ballot. I thought we would get more
The thing is, ballot winners aren’t necessarily indicative of what characters are possible, viable, or useful to add to the game. Like, I guess a lot of people wanted K Rool or Shovel Knight? Well, how big is Shovel Knight in Japan? When’s the last time a DK game wasn’t shovelware? Bayonetta is probably where they decided to put their risky choice -- Cloud and Kamui are pretty safe bets as far as popularity goes. They can’t please every niche, it’s just not financially viable.
