After rewatching pilot I’ve got a question. Why was Jane spending nights in the bedroom where his family was murdered (apart from nights in motel room as we know)? Was it the best place for him to concentrate on trying to solve RJ case? Or was that a kind of attempt not to loose the connection with Angela and Charlotte? Though this option is more psychical and he’s unlikely to follow it. And I wouldn’t believe that he thought that spending time there would somehow help him to solve the mystery, because again it’s something supernatural what he absolutely denies. Or was that a mixture of all these reasons and sth else..? I tend to think it was a part of self-punishment. His sense of guilt, responsibility and even often despair, I presume, had been bringing him there again and again. I’m not sure he did that deliberately, but it looks like that to me. What do you guys think?
