Pronounced "Sin," though Rook is perfectly fine too. I've gone by both my own names and my characters names over the years, so either feels natural.
I'm primarily here for FFXIV roleplay, and that's what you'll usually find on this blog. Expect a mix of RP, stories, occasional OOC rambling, book recommendations, screenshots, and the odd aesthetic post.

I play XIV completely vanilla. No mods on my end, though no judgment if you use them. You'll have to use your imagination or read my OCs carrd descriptions to gauge what they truly look like.

• One long term writing partner if the right story and friendship develop naturally.
• Artists with open commissions and an established portfolio.
Commission Status: Currently working with one artist and sitting on another's waitlist, but I'm always happy to discover artists for future projects.

A Small Request:
I live with an ongoing health condition, so replies can occasionally take longer than I'd like. Sometimes life means appointments. Sometimes it means rough days. I can get busy with volunteer work. What it doesn't mean is being ignored.
I've worked hard over the years to communicate when I need time instead of simply disappearing, and I appreciate the same courtesy from others.
Writing:
I'm an older roleplayer. I'm happy writing with anyone 18+, though there's a good chance I'm old enough to remember parts of the internet some of you only hear stories about.
That has never been a problem in itself, but it can naturally create different expectations and communication styles. Patience, communication, and mutual respect go a very long way with me.
I enjoy slower, story driven roleplay. Character growth. Long conversations. Consequences.

Rook isn't a Warrior of Light, a chosen hero, or someone destined to save the world. Neither is Cross. They're just "guys". While I am happy to interact in small ways with those who have WoL's on tumblr I do not actively carry on RP with them as it can be quite conflicting to a more "casual" approach to life in Eorzea. Big supporter of you do you though.
