Wk 2: Construction Progress on TRON Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster
Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is blazing through construction on their TRON lightcycle coaster in the Tomorrowland section of the park.Â
They have already laid many pieces of track in the last couple months and they have yet to cover the inside portion of the attraction that’s already laid out, but construction is already moving at a steady pace in order to have it ready for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
The steel frame that is going to be the outline for the ride’s show building has already been erected. It has now gotten to a point where it is now higher than the indoor brake run. There is now a roof over brake run as well.
Not only is the majority of the interior ride track placed down, but the foundation and side of the building is already beginning to rise towards the back of the construction zone. I believe this will be used for what’s going into the attraction show building which will house the roller coaster.
With TRON already on it’s way to taking shape, I’m very excited about this new addition to the Magic Kingdom, and I’m glad it’s happening.
