How piggy be feeling when they don't respect the conch
I'm almost certain that most people know that the magic conch episode from Spongebob Squarepants (Club Sponge S3E12) is a parody of The Lord of The Flies, but I think that the Wormy episode (S2E5) also shares some similarities with the novel. In Club Sponge, the conch symbolizes unity and authority. While in Wormy, Wormy-turned-butterfly represents The Beast, which represents man's illogical fear of the unknown. I believe it to be similar because of the way Spongebob and Patrick reacted to Wormy when he transformed into a butterfly by assuming he was dangerous without trying to identify what he was or where he came from. The fear spread from them to the entirety of Bikini Bottom, similar to how the boys in The Lord of The Flies accepted the beast's existence without any solid proof of it being real or dangerous. Although it sounded better in my head, when I rewatched the episode a few days ago, I couldn't help but think of The Lord of the Flies.

I jumped on the bandwagon
Was anyone gonna tell me that the magic conch from Spongebob is a Lord of the Flies reference or was I just supposed to read that on the Easter Eggs/References wiki page for the game 60 Seconds myself
Fun fact: The Lord of the Flies is my favorite book! Also, the background image is mine as well. I took it on a plane ride to Memphis, and it reminded me of our Golden Boy!
