I realize I've never talked about this before, but I really just want to appreciate the friendship between Kaito and Luca quite honestly. Especially after finishing s1. Because. Oh My God
Imagine loving someone so much that losing them makes you go fucking insane. You've spent a relatively short time together, there's still so much you don't know about each other, but you've been through Hell together so many times and you've brought out the best in each other because of it. You've both gotten stronger together. You were supposed to graduate together, supposed to spend years together. Then they fucking die.
Like. Imagine being Luca in that moment. Regardless of if he wanted it to happen or not, he was prepared to lose MC. Her death was already predetermined, her chances of being saved were slim to none.
Luca was not, in any way, prepared to lose Kaito.
His best friend, the guy who he rescued time and time again, the guy who he watched improve every day for countless months, the guy who was supposed to be by his side for pretty much his entire time at Darkwick-- just gone. Torn away from him, all for being the hero that Luca had always believed him to be.
How could anybody stay sane after that?
