This is one of the few of my original songs I've written. I don't consider myself a poet yet but I do write a lot of songs/lyrics and I'd love to someday. I have had these lying around for awhile. It is called, "Voices drown as the ice caps melt". The title is an attempt at highlighting the environmental issue and a metaphor for our social environment as well. "Living on a prayer" is a song straight up about the reality of not caring about the environment. Not all of these are based on environmental or socio- political issues but mainly focusing on self-awareness and realization. They aim at working as motivation for introspection. Hope you like it.
