I still have about two months worth of Lucha Underground from last year that I never got around to watching. Guess I’ll power through those.

Also caught up on the last two WWE pay per views yesterday and today. And I’m glad I did, because I saw the absolute best moment in the history of professional wrestling:

And because I love to over-analyze things, I found a bunch of related videos. I was going to post one from before he was in the big time, but it’s referenced (and shown) in this interview with a couple of other wrestlers who were out there when it happened:

Titus O’Neil, however, is a genuinely good guy in real life (even if a bit of a conniving businessman in character -- but check out his twitter if you want a taste of the real Titus), and he sometimes lets his real humor shine through. Here was his own interview about it at the next event:

One of Titus’ stable, “No Way Jose,” had a match against Baron Corbin (the guy who mocked Titus in the above interview) later that night. And not one to miss an opportunity to capitalize, Titus used the situation to his advantage in making an appearance with other members of “Titus World Wide” mid-match:

It’s the “frustrated towel toss” when Titus goes down again that really makes this...but in context, the whole thing is hilarious.

And of course, the WWE and Titus O’Neil aren’t letting this “slide” without turning it into a marketing opportunity. From what I hear, these T-shirts are selling like crazy:
