#tired max

Oh of course! Sorry this took so long some family issues >~<))

Max was utterly exhausted and it was barely even noon. The day even started off as crappy, the coffee machine in his tent broke, all David had was his weak ass decaf coffee, then some idiot wanted to run for their camp activity. Even better their nap time was cut down so they could go swimming later.

So yes Max was utterly exhausted and done with everything. He scowls as he stabs at his food, yawning every so often as he tried to stay awake.

He barely even noticed his camp dad taking a seat beside him, a worried look on his face.

“Are you doing alright Max?” He jerks slightly at question looking to David as if he just randomly appeared. Jesus he must have been tired if he hadn't noticed David coming to check on him.

This was his chance to get some rest but honestly now that help was here he had the urge to fight against it, so against his better judgement he spoke.

“I'm fine, just pissed off about the swimming later on.” Both of them knew it was a lie just from the tone.

David shifts slightly and looks over the camper taking in all the details he normally would dismiss. The bags under Max's eyes, the way he was slumped over as if he was accepting defeat and how he hadn't cursed him out yet.

"If you need something Max don't be afraid to ask.” David says with a small smile. If this was about the ‘Daniel Accident’  he would kick the other counselor's ass if it was.

He noticed Max shifting slightly before going back to poking at his food. It was a little while before Max answered him. “I know that...I'm just not used to that being available or even a choice.”

David wasn't too surprised about the answer knowing Max had his moments here however, out in the open wasn't a place he liked to share.

“Do you need a ‘hug’?” He asks stressing the hug part. He knew if he didnt approach this right Max would get irritable and just walk off. He tenses when Max looked up at him with a slight glare bracing himself to be chewed out. He wasn't expecting Max to slump in defeat and nod.

“Yeah..tuck me away.” Max says quietly, looking around the hall as if he was expecting someone to make fun of him. David diverted Max's  attention from that fear by gently resting a hand on Max's shoulder then adjusting his size.

“I've got you Max, there's nothing to worry about.” He reassures his camper with a smile. He lays his hand flat by Max, allowing him to climb on himself.

“I know that dumbass.” Max grumbles, climbing onto David's hand tiredly. The counselor just smiles in return, bringing his hand up to his face.

“But it makes you feel better.” David points out, keeping his tone soft for Max. He smiles at Max's huff of mild embarrassment and opens his mouth.

To make it a little easier for his kid he made sure to angle his hand slightly and keep his tongue over his teeth to avoid any accidents. This was supposed to be a safe place after all.

"Shut it.” He hears Max grumble. He smiles in mild amusement, staying still as he felt his kid slowly climb into his mouth, no hesitation. David loved the trust aspect of ‘tucking away’ just the fact that Max trusted him not to hurt him and didn't even think twice about letting him have control was amazing.

He waited for Max to say the word not wanting to move to fast for him or frighten him. He always hated that he might scare Max or whoever he was tucking away by doing something to fast or rough.

Admittedly he relaxed slightly when Max shifted slightly and spoke calmly as if everything was okay and normal. “I'm ready.”

David resisted the urge to nod and just slowly closed his mouth with a small click of his teeth. He waited a second as Max squirmed around to get comfortable before slowly tilting his head back.

This part was always the strangest for him, the feeling of a very much alive thing being pushed down into his throat. It felt like a big mouthful truthfully, slightly awkward but manageable.

"Come on I wanna sleep sometime today.”

That drug David out of his thoughts. He smiled sheepishly and swallows, tilting his head back more to let gravity help out a bit. The familiar pressure of Max going down brought him a strange sense of comfort. He shudders as his kid reaches his destination, the feeling was something he would never get over.

He was protecting a life and that was a powerful feeling to have. He sighs shakily and smiles slightly as he felt Max get comfortable in his usual spot.

"Sleep well Max.” He says quietly making a mental note to not move around a lot later on. He grins as he gets a sleepy response from his kid.
