This is a question I was asked and I had to take a while to think about it.

Ultimately, the immediate thought is that she certainly COULD, given the chance. It's stated somewhere that her favourite game is Earthbound, but that's within the confines of the canon, and presumably without the presence of MMOs or the like. It's extremely plausible to consider that, had she not been subject to temporal displacement, a multiplayer game could take up her focus.

Anyway, that's not the main point. My point is that Roxy probably wouldn't WANT to be a pro gamer, finding it far more satisfying to remain anonymous while absolutely CRUSHING leaderboards. Not even voice chat, just the screen tag "tipsyGnostalgic" and the occasional ";)" in chat.

Inevitably, butthurt pro dudes would call these records into disrespute, since shes anonymous after all. At some point, she's called out - in order to keep her leaderboard status, she has to show up to a public event and play on a verified computer in order to prove she's not hacking.

She shows up to this event, donning a daft Punk style pink cat head to maintain her anonymity, but still very clearly feminine, the first bombshell to the crowd - Haha, you've all been getting wrecked by a GIRL - and she takes her place at the designated computer desk, after doing a cute pose or two for the cameras, and plays the game, with no funny business, no possible external help.

And she absolutely TEARS it. Not only is she as good as her stats suggest, she's almost better. She's interviewed afterward and is asked about the hacking allegations, and she responds with "Oh, you thought I was hacking? Haha, no, if I was a hacker I'd do THIS" and all the lights in the event go dark, all the screens replaced with a laughing animated sprite of her avatar, the four eyed pink cat.

By the time that things are sorted out and the lights restored, Roxy's vanished without a trace. It's almost like she was never there. And shes back online the next day, kicking ass like nothing ever happened.
