1969.
Released in 1969, this has since been one of the most controversial and memorable adverts in the history of marketing communications/advertising. Despite being largely effective at communicating the advertising message and proposition, this ad raises a copious amount of ethical issues and implications. Due to changes in culture and society, restrictions have been made on the nature of content released to the public. Thus, this type of ad would definitively, at present, not be asseverated by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). Thank goodness for that.
What do you think? Is it acceptable? Is it funny? Is society overreacting?
