Liver Cleanse from Your Tea
What is it?
A 3 week program that involves a 2 week meal plan and 3 weeks of tea to be drunk before meals. It also includes a liver cleanse guide and a very cute tea thermos.
[Take a look]
What does it claim to do
Maximised digestion
Improved bowel function
Increased energy
Less headaches or body pains
Possible weight loss
Clearer skin – i.e; acne, eczema etc.
Clearer mind (goodbye mental fog)
Balanced hormones
Less bloating
Heightened wellbeing
My reservations
I'm pretty sure that any weight loss that happens as a result of this program is because of the reduced calories in the meal plan rather than any cleansing that happens to your liver.
The water intake in this program is very high, which is great, but it also means that it will cause temporary weight loss because of water weight. I'm predicting that any weight lost will come back after my body has bounced back from losing the water weight.
I'm well aware that your liver does not need to be cleansed, toxins do not build up unless you take hard drugs.
There’s a very dubious paragraph in the liver cleanse guide about alkalising your body. I know for a fact that this is bullshit, any change in the pH of your system would only last for a few seconds at most.
So why in the hell am I doing it?
Despite my reservations, I really love your tea. I did the 28 day @tinyteatox a few years ago, recommended by @run-rhianna-run, because I was experiencing bloating, and the results cannot be denied.
I really enjoy trying out programs like this. I did a raw food cleanse a couple of years ago and it was a challenge that I relished. I love making the new recipes, I love prepping meals and snacks.
I’m hoping that it will kick start a healthier lifestyle for me. I’m hoping it will get me into the habit of drinking more water. I’m hoping it will help exercise my discipline so I can continue to make healthier choices after the program is over. And let’s face it, I’m hoping to lose some weight.
