‘Isolation” by Western Tink prod. by Nicodxmvs

The last time Western Tink put out a single-producer project on Mishka, we were blessed with the best project of his career so far in “Mobbin No Sobbin”, so it’s not a stretch to think “Isolation” should be just as good. After one listen through, that might just be the case. Tink and Nico have something really special on their hands here.

Lil 2Tall aka Western Tink aka Suave Tinko aka Tinkavelli aka 1/2 of Mobbin No Sobbin is a man of many names. As it turns out, he’s also a man of many mixtapes. “Run’n Thu Hell Wit Gasoline Draws On” is the latest of these, and apparently, it’s just been sitting around on his laptop since 2013. If that’s the case, who knows how much more music he’s sitting on, and I can say in good faith, there’s probably a hell of a lot more where that came from.

Western Tink is perfect no frills rap. No forced rhyme schemes, no cryptic metaphors, just straight forward street storytelling, with a bit of subtle wordplay for good measure. What puts me over the top though, is Tink’s voice. It’s a combination of Sir Michael Rock’s & Ab-Soul’s unique deliveries that makes for a final product that’s both interesting and immediately familiar.
