Jeff:  Very much all over the place if he has his knife.  He is incredibly reckless when he kills or fights, and likes to make a mess.  However, Jeff fights much differently when he is unarmed.  He’s actually somewhat skilled in martial arts, as his parents had him and Liu in karate lessons when they were younger.  Thus, he’s more efficient at fighting without a weapon.

Eyeless Jack:  Jack is this super tall and long demon boi who has fangs and claws.  You can bet yourself he will do everything he can to slash at vital organs and blood vessels to quickly and efficiently end the fight.  Despite being eyeless, I headcanon he has some sort of demonic thermal vision, not to mention that his other senses are enhanced due to his normal sight being gone.  As for killing, he prefers a quick slitting of the throat, unless his victim dies of shock while he’s removing their kidneys.  As somewhat of an expert on all things medical, he sometimes tutors the other pastas in the most efficient ways to kill a human.

BEN Drowned:  He doesn't really do much fighting, and he prefers driving his victims to kill themselves rather than killing them himself.  It’s more fun to play with his victims.

Ticci Toby:  Toby is more disposed to long distance fighting, since he has quite a lot of range with the hatchets.  He tends to use one for throwing, but keep the other one in hand until he can retrieve the first one.  For killing, he usually aims for a vital organ or artery, unless his target is running, in which case he’ll go for the mid-back to paralyze them.  A good place is the spot where the shoulder and torso meet.  There’s an artery there called the brachial artery which works a lot like the carotid artery in that severing it causes the victim to bleed out rapidly.  (Toby learned this from Eyeless.)

Masky:  Masky, as I have mentioned in a previous post, is a brawler.  He prefers up close fighting and will take his opponent to the ground if need be, using his weight and size as an advantage to keep them pinned.

Hoodie:    Hoodie’s long legs and lean yet muscular build allow for a lot of movement in his fighting style.  He’s flexible, so he could totally kick you in the head without breaking a sweat.  However, he prefers simple punches and kicks with the occasional headlock and wrist grab.  When he’s killing, he prefers a simple stab in just the right place, though if he’s stalking someone within the forest, he tends to gravitate towards a handgun or rifle.

Liu:  Liu, due to karate lessons at a young age, tends to fight the same way as Jeff does when unarmed.  However, the difference between the two brothers is that Liu is much more precise when fighting with a weapon.

So, when people say Masky likes cheesecake, they’re actually just referring to Masky, and not to Tim by extension.  Tim actually hates cheesecake, while Masky has a healthy enjoyment of it and will frequently eat it just to tick Tim off.

To go further, Toby doesn't actually like waffles that much.  He’ll eat them, but he’s not obsessed.  

Although, to be honest, he prefers French toast.

Eyeless Jack, contrary to popular belief, doesn't just eat kidneys; that’s merely his favorite organ to eat.  However, sometimes the kidneys of his victims are unhealthy, full of kidney stones and entirely unconsumable.  Therefore, he tends to take brains and livers as well.  Hearts he finds to be too tough.

BEN will eat just about anything, though he’s more fond of dry foods than wet foods, so you’re likely to see him eating a lot of cereal and chips.  He’s basically a poltergeist, so it’s not going to give him diabetes.

Slender doesn't eat.  Period.  I mean, he doesn't have a mouth, sure, but he doesn't need to eat to survive.

Laughing Jack doesn't eat either, as he doesn't have the capacity for digestion.  He actually hates candy.

Jeff enjoys anything involving red meat (he likes the blood).  Although, he also really likes sloppy Joes, though they are difficult for him to eat.

(A/N:  I may not necessarily ship these two all the time, but I wanted to see what they would look like together in the Maverick-verse.)

Timothy Wright was in a bit of a scrape at the moment.  And by “a scrape”, he meant being strangled by the dude in the yellow hoodie and the black mask with the red frowny face on it.  Hoodie, as he’d preferred being called, was a guy Tim used to work with when he was under the control of the Operator as the assassin known as “Masky”.  Hoodie never had talked very much, so Tim had never been able to get to know him very well.  But there was always something niggling at the back of the dark-haired man’s mind, something about Hoodie that seemed familiar.

Perhaps that was why he’d gone back for the hooded man, to break him free of the Operator’s control just as Tim himself had broken free.  

“Jesus, Hoodie, it’s me!  Masky!”  That made Hoodie pause.

“Masky?” he repeated, the red frowny face moving closer.  

“Yeah, buddy, it’s me.  I came to get you out of here.”  Hoodie let go of Tim’s neck.

“I don't...I don't get it.  Masky...but you seem too familiar, like we knew each other before I was Hoodie...can’t remember...”  He held his head, scooting back and sitting back on his heels.  

“Honestly, Hoodie, you seem familiar too, I just couldn't ever figure out how.”  Hoodie let out a small groan.

“God, I've got such a headache,” he muttered, pulling back the hood and reaching up to take off the mask.  Tim’s eyes shot wide open.

“Brian?!”  Brian blinked, both in surprise and in an attempt to adjust to the bright sunlight coming through the trees.

“Is that...my name?  But then who are you?”  Tim shook his head lightly as he felt tears pricking at the corners of his eyes.

“Brian,” he whispered out.  “It’s Tim.  Tim Wright.”  Brian’s forehead furrowed.

“I...I remember...oh my God.  Oh my God, Tim, I’m so sorry!”  He lurched forward and buried his face in the other man’s shoulder, sobbing.  

“Shh, shh, it’s all right.  I’ve gotcha, Bri.  I’ve gotcha.”  Tim settled back on the ground, letting Brian cry on his shoulder as long as he needed to.

“Who exactly am I again?”  Tim swiped away the tears from both of their face’s, resting his hands on Brian’s shoulders.

“Your name is Brian Thomas,” he said.  “And you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“Masky” wasn't actually created by the Operator.

He was created by Tim himself.

(No one requested this, but I felt the creative muse tugging at the back of my mind.  Also, in this short I make Masky fond of cheesecake only to help distinguish from Tim.)

Ahh, your boyfriend.  Where to begin?

A relationship with Tim Wright is rather complicated.  Tim’s a pretty sweet guy, sure, probably the sweetest guy you could ever hope to meet.  But...he’s got his dark side, literally, in the form of an alternate personality.

Masky.  

How you found out about Masky is quite the story.  

You came home one night to find who appeared to be your boyfriend sitting at the kitchen table eating...cheesecake?

“Tim...?” you asked, a bit hesitantly.  He shook his head.  

“Masky,” he corrected.  You were rather confused.

“I’m sorry, who?”  Tim--Masky--sighed and turned to face you, dark eyes boring into you from behind the feminine white mask which adorned his features.

“Tim didn't tell you, did he?  I’m his other half.  Alter ego, split personality, dark side, whatever.  We...we try to get along.”

“Try?”

“It’s not too bad.”

“Not too bad, how am I supposed to tell you two apart?”  Masky chuckled, a dry, sardonic chuckle that was so unlike Tim’s usual cute laugh that you couldn't mistake the two.

“Expect a lot of dark humor from me.  And don't expect me to take the mask off.  Wouldn't be Masky without it.  Speaking of, I suppose I should let you have Sideburns back now,” he mused, shrugging off his jacket and tossing it onto the chair beside him.  “You can take the mask off if you want.  Tim says I need to learn trust a bit better, so...”  He gestured to the mask.  “Go on, I don't bite.”  You crossed the room, hesitant, before reaching out and gently lifting the mask off to reveal Tim’s face beneath it.

“I’m sorry, (Name),” Tim said, his voice velvet-soft compared to the harsh, grating tone of Masky.  “I should have told you sooner.”  He set the mask aside and pulled you in, resting his head against your chest as you ran your fingers through his hair.

“Tim...are you going to be okay?” you asked, pulling back to look at him in the eyes.  He looked away after a moment.

“I don't know,” he said, voice cracking slightly.  “I just don't know.”  He suddenly latched onto you in the tightest hug he had ever given you.  “No matter what happens, (Name)...I love you, okay?” he asked, burying his face in your neck.  You closed your eyes and just held onto him.

“I love you too, Tim,” you answered.

So, yeah.

It’s complicated.

(An AU where Tim never became Masky and ends up moving in with Y/N, his girlfriend.  Just a fluffy thing.)

Y/N was in bed about to fall asleep after a long day of college schoolwork, when she heard the creak of footsteps across the tile floor of the kitchen.  She wasn't too worried though.  After all, she didn't live alone.

“Hmm...Tim?” she mumbled out as the footsteps reached the bedroom.

“Yeah, babe, it’s me,” Tim Wright said as he clambered into bed.  He had already graduated and started his own photography business alongside his good friend Jay Merrick, which often caused late nights for him.

“You’re home a little late,” Y/N mused, rolling over and curling up against her boyfriend’s side.  

“I know, Y/N, I’m sorry, I just had a lot of paperwork to do,” he answered, draping an arm over her waist.  Y/N hummed something which sounded like “s’okay” before nuzzling against his chest.  

“’m just glad you’re home,” she mumbled, slowly starting to fall asleep, now that she had a source of warmth to fall asleep to.  Tim smiled slightly as he also closed his eyes.

I was talking to my mom earlier about the differing tastes we have in guys.  (My mother is happily married to the same guy for 42 years, and I plan to never marry, mind you, this is just a hypothetical conversation.)

Anyway, she showed me a picture of this radio personality in my state and said she thought he was cute.  I kinda disagreed, for no particular reason, I just didn't find him that attractive.  So she said, “Well then, show me a picture of someone you find attractive.”  

So then I pulled up a photo of Tim Wright/Masky from Marble Hornets, and she looked at the photo and said, “Ugh.”

Seriously?  I mean, just look at this man:

(Btw, ignore the flower crown, this was the only one I could find that would prove my point.)

No, seriously, look at him!  I don't know how to explain why I find this guy so attractive, but I mean, he sorta defies the whole male standard these days:  you know, that men have to be six feet tall, have perfect blond hair and a six-pack.  Which, to be fair, is kinda ridiculous.  But here we have the Timster, and he’s just this down-to-earth, adorable guy!  

No, he doesn't have a six-pack, and that’s okay.  

Yes, he’s kinda short, and that’s okay.

Yeah, his hair is messy a lot of the time, and that’s okay.

And here my mom is, looking at this guy and thinking, “ugh”, because this radio personality that she finds attractive fits the mold of the present day and age.  I’m not saying that people are not entitled to their opinion, because they most definitely are, but I also think it’s unfair to humans to glorify a certain type of body, certain hair color, whatever, and say something to the effect of:  “This is the only thing that can be considered attractive, everything else is just average/ugly.”  I don't know, it just seems kinda mean.
