Yeah I thought so, but I thought ppl would understand snipers alone on the point/trying to save it is just as much of a suicide mission as a healer/support on the point (the latter being wider more knowledgeable, most likely because they have played support more often than sniper).
Snipers at short/mid range being decent depends on whoever you’re going against imo. High rank competitive is such a fuckfest (for example), everyone is jumping around and shooting, which forces you to jump around and shoot as well, and with snipers being most deadly at headshots, trying to clear a point at short range in this case is 100% suicide and the death will be in vain. Instead, it’s best to reposition (hoping to find an angle you can sneak shots past a Reinhardt’s shield for example) and hope to be able to clear them out with headshots. The only time I can see a sniper rushing to the point to contest it in a suicide manner would be if their teammates are like halfway back in (and at this point probably die to also switch heroes).

Ahh I forgot to add in the tags to specify the OC, but here goes (I’ll tell about my faves).
Cecilia: Definitely, she’s best paired with dual daggers or short swords. Anything small and sharp will be her pick; she’s also good with throwing knives. She sees violence as a necessity sometimes and as an “universal language” of sorts which anyone can understand and come to a “common ground” at the end.
The Ravelord: Yes, although her skills with weapons can be quite limited; can be pretty good with a bow though. Her strength at the moment lies in hexes/dark magic. She isnt a fan of violence, she prefers to be as much pacifistic as she can, talk things out and whatnot (although mostly for the good of the one trying to engage her). She might use intimidation with her skelly looks but violence is something for only when she has no choice.
Rag: A weapon specialist to be honest, he knows how to use a variety of swords and bows, very good with throwing knives as well; the weapons that might escape his handling are the very big, heavy ones (a well-trained silver knight that then took the place of assassin since he had preference for such role). For him, violence is more like a specific tool; he makes great use of it because of his role/job, but he isnt gonna use it for everything/everytime.
Piggu: Best with her trusty claymore, very good with giant bows as well. Since she had always been a knight, she’s used to the good old sword and shield; very standard/traditional really, she prefers things that allow her to hit multiple things in wide, single swipes. She thinks of violence as some sort of plague and sadly a “necessary evil”. She’s most of the time playing the role of protector, so at times she must strike down or charge at things without second thoughts. She shares some of the opinion with the Ravelord, but the difference between them is that the Ravelord -deep down- wont hold back and will show off the fact she’s an undying skeleton (and thus quite impossible to defeate, quite) while Piggu legitimately feels bad to be in such confrontation.

Yakez tugs at his ear, already looking like he is holding back tears. “I-I cry… a lot. N-nothing shameful about crying. I-I ge-get nervous… a lot, yes yes. Things upset me easy. B-but I also cry happy tears too! Not all tears are sad and I umm… I know I am cowardly. I don’t like to fight, at all. Even i-if crying is cowardly and weak I’m ok wi-with that because I know I am.” He gives a small smile, wiping away a tear in his eye.
“It’s not often that I cry,” Saamid replies, “and I will admit that I do at times. Rarely when sober. More often when heavily intoxicated and going through some…” He pauses to think. “Emotional times in my life. I would say only those few I get close to have seen me cry. I know I shouldn’t see crying as weak and shameful but I do. I don’t like losing control of my emotions so much that I cry. I’ve been doing that recently. It’s pathetic of me.”

Co-Habitate and Escape for Saamid and Yakez
Co-Habitate :: Do they live with anyone? What’s “need to know” before moving in? / Escape :: What do they do to destress? How successful is it?
“I’ve mostly lived alone during my adulthood,” Saamid answers, “although up until recently I lived with my partner of equal-intellect. Currently I am staying over at Marduk and Yimyeta’s home for… mental health reasons. I don’t trust myself being alone right now. I knew that being close to my friends I would be less likely to do something… well stupid.”
He clears this throat. “For living with me, they got to accept my heavy drinking. I need my alone time to relax. I am a night owl and sleep during the day. I like to keep my place organized. Any chaotic mess annoys me, although I do get lazy cleaning up my empty bottles.”
“I drink to destress. I drink to solve a lot of my problems.” He shrugs. “It sometimes works.”

“R-right now I live with my dad,” Yakez says with a smile, but the smile quickly fades as he talks with a more serious tone. “He-he’s had a really really bad cough and been weak si-since Scarlet’s attack. He was ca-caught in it in Lion’s Arch whe-when it happened. The mia-miasma and all. It is really really hard for him to work s-so I make most of the money to support both of us.”
“Li-living with me, I’m out mo-most of the time I’m awake. Working and going to parties. Sitting at home is boooooring. Whe-when I am home I like to clean or cook or work on little projects for the flower shop. I’m very very busy.”
“Wo-working with my flowers helps de-destresses me. Gardening and making wreaths or flower crowns is very ca-calming.”
