For one, Tim gets adopted at 16 and its a very... Loose adoption. Tim had a dad. Yes, Jack Drake was an asshole and I can go on about how he was clearly abusive, but Tim did have a dad. Bruce was more or less his mentor for a few years before taking him in after Jack died. If he’d taken him in as a kid like he did with Jason and Dick, I might see it differently, but I don’t
