In for an oil leak, found this under the timing cover. Luckily the bolt is long enough to stop at the cover, you can see it through 2nd and 3rd picture of the rub marks on the bolt head and the timing cover. It’s not often that customers reach out to us to perform preventative maintenance on their car. Don't fix what ain't broken, right? The owner of this Porsche was one such rarity. He drove to our shop all the way from Bangalore to get his Cayenne's timing chain replaced as a preventative maintenance. Historically these engines tend to have timing chain tensioner failures, which in turn lead to catastrophic engine damage.
