SORRY FOR ANSWERING SO LATE i put it in my drafts to answer later and then completely forgot fhgjkhg
thank u sm for sendin numbers!Ā
1. What themes would you like to write about that you feel donāt get explored very often?Ā
Iām very big on like, catharsis through writing, so i definitely work in themes like: the idea that you shouldnāt distance yourself from things you love, bc in the end it will only hurt you and the ppl who care abt you more. and the idea that mistakes/trauma of your past donāt have to keep defining your present and future. i cant say these things haven't been explored, but theyre important themes for me that i like to work subtly into characters and stories :)
2. What are some commonĀ elements of stories you are tired of seeing? What would you avoid writing about?Ā Ā
hmmm im very tired of the wholeĀ āabusive parent gets excused of all the harm they did and no real consequences happenā thing. ive seen it happen too often for it to be a rare thing, but also not often enough to be a mainstream thing, but in general it irks me. so thats an element im tired of and will always avoid writing about. im also not too big a fan of like,, characters who are perfect at everything and very overpowered. there needs to be some drawback, something to keep them grounded as human and struggling/still learning, for me to really be interested, so i try to avoid writing that kind of thing too. other than that its really tiny things that mean nothing and r just personal preference, like when a writer will change someoneās hairstyle to something messy and long just to show the character is depressed or smthn fhgkjfhgĀ
8. Favorite dialogue in your wip? (If asked more than once, respond with a new piece each time)Ā
this is definitely more than just the dialogue but ive been working on an eri and izuku roleswap au and this is... my favorite part ive written for it so far so im gonna show it off:
Eri takes his hands into her own when she notices him starting to mindlessly scratch at the number that sits between his thumb and pointer finger. With her palms up, she cradles one of Izukuās hands in each, and uses her thumb to hold them in place. Eriās heart hurts at how easy it is, at how small Izukuās hands really are. Theyāre too small to have so many scars already, āHow about I ask Aizawa-sensei if we can get you some gloves?āĀ
Izuku bites his lip, but when he doesnāt respond, Eri gently begins to bob his hands up and down. The stimulating motion brings him back from wherever his mind had been trying to drift to, ā... Can they be red?ā He asks quietly, ducking his head.Ā
Eri remembers what clothes heād been wearing when they had rescued him; a tattered grey cotton shirt, and stiff hospital-grade white pants. She looks at Izuku again now, sitting alone in his ocean of a hospital bed, wearing the same pants but with a soft, over-large UA hoodie of Mirioās, still without any clothes of his own.Ā
āOf course,ā Eri says around the lump in her throat, and Izuku perks up. āOf course they can be red.ā
