**Long Post** Colorado Spartan Race was not really in my plans this year when it conflicted with my Canada Run. However, the venue and date was switched to this weekend and well... I found a cheap flight ✈️ 😂🙈 ... so registered for the UB and Sprint. Come Friday I began to rethink my plan. I had worked all day, caught train back home, grabbed my pack and headed back on train to airport. Landed in Colorado at midnight picked up rental at 1 am and still had 3.5 hour drive from Denver to venue. I was thinking to hit Walmart not realizing they close at midnight for my UB items. My brain convinced me to downgrade to the Beast instead. Which I did not regret bc I was pretty exhausted on less than 2 hours of sleep and would be stressing time hacks. Plus I have a busy August race schedule and September is worse with very little recovery. After a lot of thought I am going to try and finish what I am registered this year but no more signing up until I get better with shoulder and knee. Posting this to keep me accountable (guna regret this🤦🏽♀️). Today I feel better with only doing Beast and Sprint and think if I would’ve done the UB I would be pretty beat up 🤕. This is hard bc I am used to doing a lot but my body is screaming. Going to try and take it day by day. I am down but not dead 😜💕🙌🏾 On a positive note, 📝 I got to do some awesome exploring in Manitou Springs, and Aspen, Colorado 😃 #peaceout #injuriessuck #caniexchangemybodyparts #timetothinksifferently and #smarter 😁#recovery #colorado #manitou #manitousprings #colorado #aspen #snowmass #spartanrace #spartan #spartanwomen (at Aspen/Snowmass- Colorado, USA) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0xl-Kbgirm/?igshid=gojsiomov54e
