She’d been here before. It took her a moment to gather the memory: 22nd century, that felt right. The Doctor brought a hand to her neck and pictured it for a moment, a bow-tie and a tweed jacket, Amy and Rory. It made her smile, but only for a second. It was never her way to dwell on the past; once you get past the happy surface memories there’s always a lot of bitterness underneath.

“Why am I here? I’ve already done this one,” she gave the TARDIS a suspicious look over her shoulder, partially blaming it for the stirring of old memories. “Don’t tell me we’ve run out of Universe to explore.” Uninhabited, or so it looked. The Doctor took a corridor at random, hands stuffed into her pockets. There was always a reason, wasn’t there? She just had to find it.

Whatever she had been expecting, it wasn’t what she saw when she came around the next corner. Her eyes went wide. Red hair. Tall. Taller than her now in fact. It was unmistakable. The Doctor would recognise her anywhere.

Well he couldn’t agree more with the woman, his artificial fingers twitching as they hovered over his gun holster. Waiting for the omnic before them to make some sort of move. He never trusted their kind-

 His brow furrowed as the Omnic took notice of the clearly visible weapon and slowly backed off, knowing full well what sort of damage the gun slinger could deal. With a sigh of relief as the robotic menace drifted out of their sights, he relaxed into an idle pose, turning towards the woman he somewhat protected.
