   It’s very quiet, the initial sound; hardly more than a chirp, tinny and ringing--it could be a bird, or the shuffle of shoes on slick tile.

   The way the sound moves, however; from one angle, to another, to another, again, again, all at once, several at once, finally coming together--

   A stifled giggle,

   As a heavy dip of chill engulfs the air.

   Telltale and unmistakable,

   Tips of toxic talons tickle faint trails from his jaw and across his cheeks, a murmur melodic billowing from behind his ears.

“Oh--Darling, ♪”

“I don’t know what that ‘curricolous’ thing is, all I want is a big, real sword I can fight strong monsters and show all the adults I am not a baby anymore!”

Not fair, truly! Adults promised him things all the time, only to never keep them.

Fu underestimated his capacity to remember things, indeedd. Now the child wouldn’t leave him alone until he gave him a sword.]

Trunks named her sword Excalibur. We all know this already.

But she's also named the Time Machine (Hope), her saxophone (George Michael), and several other things in all likelihood.

   His eye idly twitches, but otherwise the look in his eyes is glazed over, even sleepy.

   ‘I’ve never been annoyed by my own means of being indirect--!=

   A very slow blink;

   But the quiet scrape of carved wood.

   Nonchalantly, he plucks them out.

   ‘It’s all just a sincere curiosity.

   ‘Mostly.

   ‘Although--

   ‘I’m really interested in the imagery.

    ‘What would it be like?

    ‘How would it feel?
