M'am, you did NOT just confirm salesman's daddy kink. It's too perfect, it's too much, my body cannot process this. I am ascending. You just fulfilled every single one of maslow's hierarchy of needs. Daddy kinks are sometimes so overused in writing because of how empty the title feels. But with the way you write salesman, you KNOW it's not just some title. He really is gonna come thru with being a daddy. You know it, I know it, front man knows it, Giant robot doll knows it, everyone knows it.

Man the amount of in-depth asks I’ve been receiving in regards to my work makes me SO HAPPY.
I worried it would be a little too cliched but it was a risk I was prepared to take. Because you can read it so many ways—maybe he’s not being serious and he just wants to fuck with the reader. But also,,.,all his behavior lowk points him to having a daddy kink [like you said].
He would be such a daddy my god. Robot girl definitely knows him.
I really do picture the Salesman as this type of figure to throughly baby the fuck out of y/n, and if you accuse him of doing so, he’ll just be like “I know you’re not used to being taken care of, but you shouldn’t also lash out on me for wanting to give you a good life.”
And it’s kind of fucked bc he’s manipulating you. But also, your life SUCKS. And your actual father figure? Alive yes but not at all present. His drinking has been such a constant fixture, you don’t remember who he was before that.
So you have some daddy issues that the salesman can’t wait to capitalize on.
