oooo I'm not fully sure what to do with this one since I really know nothing about Bernard. I know he does conspiracy theory stuff and that's around it.
Maybe he accidentally mistakes Danny for a guy that Tim told him he was going to meet up with. That guy btw is Connor. The Super was running late and Danny was wearing a leather jacket that he borrowed from Sam. The combination of the two causes Bernard to fully think Danny is Connor.
This is normally where one would nervously laugh, say that they aren't the person they're looking for, and continue on with their day... Yeah that's not what happened. Danny is far too much of a pushover and doesn't want to embarrass this cute guy and tell him that he's got the wrong guy so he plays along.
Yeah so Connor and Tim meet up and are on the way to meet Bernard when they see this guy with a nearly identical jacket to Connors, black hair, and circular black glasses with side shields, laughing at something Bernard said with one arm over his shoulder.
(Inserted the headcannon that Danny's eyes are completely either blue or green (depending on the form), whites of the eyes and all, so Danny wears Crowley-esque glasses to prevent people from seeing his eyes. Gives him a reason to be wearing something similar to Connor’s shades.)
