Freeze Me by Death From Above from the album Outrage! Is Now - Director/Editor: Corey Adams
If you watched DS9 and lived on the Internet in the â90s, you likely read Tim Lynch.
Flamin Groovies âTeenage Headâ 1971. Kama-Sutra Records. Today, July 18th, is Flamin Grooviesâ guitarist/vocalist/harmonica player Tim Lynchâs birthday (b. 1946). He left the band about a year after Teenage Headâs release, the groupâs third release. The opening track, âHigh Flyinâ Baby,â along with âYesterdayâs Numbersâ and the growling masterpiece title track âTeenage Headâ are raw garage blues that both nod to tradition and portend the arrival of punk and punk blues. âHave You Seen My Baby?â is by Randy Newman and the Groovies brings a southern fried blues romp to the track.  âEvil Hearted Adaâ is a breathless Elvis-styled rockabilly rocker propelled by a locomotive beat. The cover of â32-20âł by Robert Johnson (with new lyrics) is modern in attitude but flavored with the sound of player piano, washboard rhythms and a tin can mic sound, blending past and future to perfection.
Allmusic says âTeenage Head was the Groovies' alternate-universe version of Sticky Fingers, an album that delivered their toughest rock & roll beside their most introspective blues workouts. (In his liner notes to Buddha's 1999 CD reissue of Teenage Head, Andy Kotowicz writes that Mick Jagger noticed the similarities between the two albums and thought the Groovies did the better job.)â Teenage Head is listed in the 2006 book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

Dear girl whoâs fiancĂŠ I borrowed, I remember the first night I saw him, like really saw him, it was our friends birthday and you werenât around and he was cute and was flirting with me. I was in a bad place and never received attention so it was all new to me and felt amazing. I didnât realize that I would eventually get feeling for this guy, I also didnât realize how badly it would fuck me up almost three year later. He was the first guy to ever really show me attention when my head was still all screwy and it felt like I was floating on air every time he told me he loved me and would mention OUR future together. It was beautiful. But then I realized he wasnât mine to have even though I wanted it so badly. He was your fiancĂŠ even if it wasnât for real and he had a baby with you for crying out loud. Iâm so sorry for what I did. I hate myself for it every day. Iâve wanted to apologize for so long but nobody would allow me to. Iâm sure you know. Youâre not that dumb as to not know. The girl always knows. But again Iâm so sorry for it all I really am.
