We’ve been lucky in 2017, with amazing games hitting store shelves and our tables. We saw some of our favorite developers hit the shelves yet again with a couple of fresh faces thrown into the mix. It was hard to choose just 10 games to spotlight on the list, and here is one of them. Stay...
After running out of tiles, I like to switch to creative mode and fill in the map
Played a nice game of Dorf Romantik while waiting for Sims 4 to update and got 3 new trophies!

Loving this tile-placement strategy game, Dorf Romantik. Tiles can have grass, field, trees, water, rail, town, or any combination of these and you keep placing them until you run out of tiles in your stack. You earn points by matching the types and by completing quests that appear on some tiles.
It reminds me of a board game I used to have called Rivers, Roads, and Rails, so that may be part of why I enjoy it so much!
The Castles of Burgundy: 2-4 players, age 12+. Super fun territory builder with dice and tile placement. Nice tight game with a mechanism in place if your dice rolls are terrible.Â
Tapestry: 1-5 players age 12+. This is an awesome civilization building game with fantastic miniatures! There is a little bit of something for everyone, whether it be tile placement, dice rolling, tech tracks or hand management. You advance along four tracks, (science, technology, exploration, and military) to help you build your city, improve benefits and earn victory points. It even comes with a solo variant that I have yet to try. Great for your board game group or family game night!
