Platonic Requests for Affection
Tiko’s head was on her shoulder; his was hair tousled and messy, his eyes were contentedly closed, his were lips parted in a small smile.
Part of Navi felt self-conscious; embarrassed, but not quite uncomfortable--no, that wasn’t quite right. She was uncomfortable--because she shouldn’t be comfortable.
They’d been watching the sunset together when he’d leaned over to rest on her. Immediately, Navi had stiffened up, surprised at the sudden touch--before, after a moment of conscious thought, she’d relaxed. After all, it was just Tiko. And... it was nice. She liked it.
Navi bit her lip and looked upwards, at war within herself. She deserved this. Didn’t she? Couldn’t she have one nice thing?
Just because she’d failed someone she cared for once--
No. She sighed, put her hand on his, and closed her eyes. Block it out. Ignore it. Enjoy this.
Then, after a moment of hesitation, she leaned her head onto his as well.
