@tiimestop - "One has to wonder how long you intend on being so powerless. Truly, it is almost sad to see you like this."
"If you truly feel so sad-" Though Riku had noticed that wasn't what Xeha had said. It wasn't sad, it was almost sad. "-then maybe you could actually say something useful for a change instead of spouting off half-baked philosophical bullshit that's ripped straight from an intro to ethics 101 class."
Powerless. The word had one of Riku's hands clenching into a tight fist. It came coupled with a sensation that he found he hated; something cold and almost slimy slithering along his belly and down his spine. The word 'weak' wasn't said, but it might as well have been with the way it was echoing in his mind.
He-- he wasn't--
You are. The voice was dull and flat and it was his, even though Riku didn't want to admit it. You're weak and pathetic and powerless and everything is happening to you. You're not doing anything to affect your own life.
How could he... he was sick. He could... he couldn't...
The clenched fist slowly relaxed as Riku found himself staring down at his palm, then up to meet Xeha's gaze. "... how do I stop being powerless?"
