Rowan Bryce Husher was born on June 14th, 1994 in a small town in the outskirts of London, England. A few short months later his parents moved to his fathers home town of Bristol, Virginia. Rowans mother, a dark haired, English, kind-hearted, school teacher and his father, a stubborn, tall, serious, business man were the conflicting type of couple. To say the least, the family had been broken from the start. At the age of six Rowan began his love of music and piano, something he picked up from his mothers side. Eventually, by age 12 he began writing poems as well as drawing. 

Although Rowan has always been close to his mother there had been times where he tried to make some sort of effort towards connecting with his father. This led to both mental and physical abuse. This pushed a young Rowan to become isolated and scared. His sophomore year of high school Rowan’s parents divorced. Visits from and to his father became minimum, only seeing him when forced. 

As bad times occurred Rowan found comfort and happiness in his mother, a school teacher and volunteer at the local children’s hospital. This is where he met Katherine, an intelligent and gentle child who had cancer. The two quickly became the closest friends. Rowan would visit every Thursday after school, teaching her to play piano while Katherine taught him the important fundamentals of a fantastic poem. Both were friends for two years. Rowan never lived to see if young Katherine began remission. 

On June 14, 2013, Rowan was murdered. 

June 23, 2013 the remains of Rowan Husher were found in a wooded area just outside Bristol. Although no evidence was found, his father was taken into custody, and found not guilty after trial. July 8th of that year the case was closed. No one ever found out who had killed young Rowan on his graduation and birthday. 

Now, Rowan is in Halloween Town, continuing the life he had started, only as a ghost. Life is still confusing for him, but even after death Rowan still finds the comfort of visiting the human world. There he likes to simply watch his mother. The women who taught him the difference between the black and white keys of a piano, who handed him his first book, and who saved him from the man who hurt him when he was alive. He just hopes that now that he is gone she will never forget him.
