MY PARISIAN LIFE: "What were you doing before making sandwiches, and how did you start?"

TIFFANY: "Before I started making sandwiches I was working in fashion in New York. I met a handsome French man wearing a trench coat at The Corner Bistro in the West Village and that’s all she wrote. I started making sandwiches because I didn’t know what else to do with myself in Paris. We (Americans) don’t have the same picnic culture that the French do, and it got me thinking."

MY PARISIAN LIFE: "Do you use local French ingredients and where do you shop?"

TIFFANY: "My favorite mara?cher is a farmer named Joel Thibault who has a stall at the market on Avenue President Wilson. It seemed fortuitous for this American to find the perfect farmer’s market on the street named after a former president."

MY PARISIAN LIFE: "Any sandwiches that are seasonal?"

TIFANNY: "Yes! Plenty of seasonal sandwiches. It seems I can always get my hands on beets, which I’m also crazy about, so those turn up a lot as ingredients. Fall turns out some fun pumpkin inventions. In the summer I like to make a ratatouille-style sandwich."

NOTE: This one's an oldie as Tiffany hasn't been selling her sandwiches in Paris for many years now, but it's still a great shot of her entire style in general and makes for a kool post, too.

"We love this from Tifamade – sandwiches and cakes on two wheels. Tiffany Iung started delivering sandwiches in and around Paris in 2010 when she was looking for a way to combine her two passions: feeding people and riding her bike.

It’s homemade food with ingredients carefully chosen from the farmer’s market, all wrapped up in ecological packaging. The sandwiches and cakes are presented in a lovely old suitcase, which is very cute indeed."
