Those of you who know who I am and now my love for writing teases may remember an old roleplay scenario of mine. It was based on a carnival funhouse with challenges players had to get through whilst facing a ticklish twist at the same time.

I was wondering if people may be interested in a similar theme but it’s a Halloween horror maze. With scenes and actors inside but not to scare - but to tickle! You’ll know what’s going to happen, and you have the choice of if you go in or not. But once inside, I can’t promise you’ll come out the other side untickled.

Let me know what you think - I’m writing some ideas for rooms you might walk through.. but I’d love your feedback and ultimately I’d love to know if it’s a roleplay scenario you might be interested in participating in..

You’re at the renfaire, the sounds and smells of a bygone era great you as you make your way through the various stalls and events, soaking up the sun and the atmosphere.

As you walk around, one sound in particular gets your attention. At this point it is subtle but you could have sworn you heard the sound of laughter. Already, butterflies begin to flutter in your tummy, as the brewing of a certain mood begins to stir. Almost drawn by it, you follow its direction as the sound gets louder and more erratic the closer you get.

Soon you begin to witness the source of the laughter, a victim strapped inside the stockade, shoes and socks removed, being tickled by at least 2 individuals. You make the decision to watch although some feelings may tell you otherwise. You see the rolling tools of ticklish torture, from feathers, to brushes to fingertips. Their underarms, sides and bare feet clear targets from an inescapable fate.

The increased optic in her laughter reveals to you the effectiveness of this torture, the mood within you swelling further. Even more so as those giving the demonstration use the dreaded t-word in their descriptions of what is happening before. The victim continues to cry out throughout these descriptions..

The crowd applauds as the ropes are untied and that individual makes their way off from this point. Those delivering the show say that they’re looking for one more victim, they mean, volunteer of course.. as their eyes scour across the amassed group before them. And their eyes fall on you.. your heart skips a beat, that mood undeniable now..

As a dungeons and dragons fan I know how dice rolls can affect a storyline, so why can’t dice be a factor in determining say... atickle roleplay?

I propose to you, the brave adventurer, that there is a quest to retrieve an artifact - stolen long ago, evidence has recently arisen of its location and should you take this quest, your goal will be to return it.

I can not detail the challenges you may face, but your success will be in your own hands. Are you brave enough to take a chance and roll the dice? Then step forth and announce your interest. If group messages are a thing and you want to create a party of lees, I mean adventurers, I’m happy to accommodate. The more the merrier.

So, this is an idea which has been swimming around in my mind for a while.. and I’m starting to put the pieces into place to make this happen. It’s just a case now of adding tickling into the dungeons and dragons combat format.

This post is two fold:

One. I’m looking to see who would be interested in playing a tickling related dungeons and dragons campaign.

And two. Leave me a comment with your race and class of character. Just to see what sorts of characters people might like to play.

*we interrupt this broadcast to announce the escape of a notorious prisoner, goes by the name of the tickler, and he was locked away after a string of offences, breaking into the homes of his victims.. police say to be vigilant and lock all windows and do...* when all of a sudden the power goes out!

You go to check the fuse box thinking it’s just a tipped switch but you see everything is normal.

Still, must be a logical explanation.. right?

As you return to the front room you think you see a shadow at the window peering in. Must be a trick of the light you think to yourself, it’s just a power cut.

A loud bang catches you off guard and you just keep telling yourself that it’s just a power cut and you’re thinking that you’ve seen too many movies - what are the chances it’s him!

Suddenly the phone rings, making you jump momentarily before you calm yourself answering... you hear nothing but soft deep breaths... “are you ticklish” a voice asks before the line goes dead..

Hello there, thanks you for stopping by to read my little prompt for a roleplay starter. I won’t be giving too much away, because where would be the fun in that 😜

But picture the scene:

You’ve been at the carnival all day, soaking in the sounds and smells of the surroundings. Screams of thrill seekers and aromas of food follow you throughout the fairground - but you’ve just spend your last amount of money.

You don’t want to go home yet! You run between the stalls and rides just looking for one more thing to do. That’s when you see in the distance - the funhouse.. and better yet it’s free to enter. Without a second thought you run towards it, this is just what you’ve been searching for. However, everything may not be as harmless as it seems.
