Ragatha hadnât spent much time in Zoobleâs room before. At most, she would get a peek or two whenever Zooble would storm in or out, but now, as she sat cross-legged in the center of Zoobleâs carpet, she felt a bit overwhelmed. Sharp neon geometric shapes littered the furniture, and a majority of the walls were covered in mirrors. The harsh lights, which, while dimmed, still made Ragatha strain her eye. It was no wonder Zooble never stayed in here for very long.Â
â...feeling better?â
âHmm?â It took a second before Ragatha registered that someone was talking to her. âOh, Iâm sorry, Zooble. What did you say?â She played with the hem of her skirt, the fabric clumsily falling through her (mostly) fingerless hands.Â
âI asked if you were feeling better.â Zoobleâs voice was raspy as though they were still on the brink of sleep. They leaned against the side of their bed with one leg lazily crossed over the other. One of them vaguely resembled a tentacle, while the other looked like a pole. At least both of their hands looked to be a bit more humanoid, with fully separated digits and all.
Ragatha sighed. It was her fault for waking Zooble up during what was supposed to be a chill sleepover. She didnât mean to, but the dream just felt soâŚso real. She couldnât quite shake the image out of her head even after startling awake.
âHuh?â Ragatha ran her hand through her hair. The strands fell back into place immediately. âOh, yeah, yeah, Iâm fine, now.â She smiled but couldnât hold it for long. She wished Zooble were a bit more affectionate, so she could ask for a hug or something.
âYou donât have to pretend youâre fine.â Gangleâs voice came from across the room.
Ragatha jumped, her head swiveling over to the bed. âGangle?â She squawked before clearing her throat. âYouâre awake?â
Gangleâs face popped up from underneath the swell of blankets. âYep.â She crawled across the mattress and nimbly slipped down to the floor. She sat on Ragathaâs other side.
âIâm so sorry for waking you upââ
âDonât be.â Gangle held up a ribbon, effectively cutting Ragatha off. âIâm a light sleeper.â Her gaze dragged across the room before settling on the bin of spare parts in the corner. âBesides, I had a nightmare, too.â She must have heard Ragathaâs earlier conversation with Zooble.
âOhâŚâ Ragatha said. A part of her was glad she wasnât alone.Â
âWhat was it about?â Zooble asked.
Gangle shook her head. âIt wasnât anything crazy.â She brought her knees up to her chest before turning her head toward Ragatha. âI dreamt I was being chased. What about you?âÂ
Ragatha blinked. Her first instinct was to lie and say that she didnât dream about anything at all, but she pushed past it. âAh, umâŚâ
Zooble placed their hand on her shoulder. âYou donât have to share if you donât want to.â
âNo, no, itâs fine.â Ragatha shook her head. She had already told Zooble, so it wouldnât have been fair to keep Gangle in the dark. âIt was about my motherâŚâ Ragatha wanted to share more, but it was like her mouth had gone numb. Pressure suddenly welled behind her eyes. âB-but Iâm fine, now, donât worry! Thank you for being here for me.â She tried smiling again, but the corners of her lips trembled.Â
For a while, nobody said anything.Â
Then, Gangle piped up. âDo you want a hug?â
Ragatha wanted to say something, anything, but her tongue had turned to lead. All she could do was squeeze her eyes shut and nod.Â
She heard shuffling before Gangleâs ribbons wrapped around her torso. They felt exactly how they looked: silky and smooth without being too delicate. Ragatha let her head fall into Gangleâs shoulder as she held her tight. She smelled vaguely like nylon.
Gangle rubbed small circles into her back, and Ragatha had to hold herself back from completely collapsing into her.Â
One of Gangleâs ribbons slipped slightly too close to her side, and Ragatha twitched slightly, pulling away by instinct.
âIâm sorry,â Gangle said, unfurling herself from the embrace.Â
âNo, no, itâs fine.â Ragatha genuinely meant it as she rubbed her side. A part of her kind of wanted an excuse to laugh: a moment or two to forget about her troubles. âI wouldnât mind if youâŚâ Ragatha trailed off. The words âkept goingâ lingered in the air, but she couldnât bring herself to say them out loud. Her cheeks grew warm against her will.
âAre you sure?â Zooble asked, now directly behind Ragatha.
Since when did they get so close?? Ragathaâs chest stuttered, a familiar feeling of butterflies fluttering inside her. Gangle inched forward, as well, and she let out a sharp squeak. Ragatha covered her face with her hands before slowly nodding.Â
She kept her face hidden, even as she felt one of Gangleâs ribbons curl up her arm. Silk grazed delicately up and down the underside of Ragathaâs forearm. The sensation was feather-like, as Gangle barely touched her, but she felt goosebumps nonetheless.Â
Ragatha let out a small chirp when she felt something rake against her side. It must have been Zooble. She wasnât expecting them to join in, as well.Â
Ragatha began stuttering uselessly as their fingers drummed lightly at the spot just below her ribs. âZ-zoohoohble! I-I-Iâ! IâmâIâmâŚ!â She wasnât even sure what she was trying to say, but it didnât take long for the two of them to coax the string of giggles that had been bubbling in the back of their throat. âEek! O-oh my goodnehehehess! Guys! Ehehehe!âÂ
âYou donât have to keep things to yourself, you know,â Gangle said while targeting that weirdly sensitive spot at the crook of her elbow. She didnât even know people could be ticklish there.
Ragathaâs hands shot out to stop Gangle, but she slipped through her clumsy attempts easily. She practically flailed about as she half-heartedly tried to grab at Gangleâs ribbons. At one point, she did manage to get a good grip, but Ragatha loosened her hold immediately, which Gangle thankfully didnât comment on.
âI knohohow! I knohow!â Ragatha giggled, snorting a little when she felt Gangle poke along her side. âEeeheeheep!â
Zooble chuckled under their breath. She wouldnât have heard it if it werenât for their sudden proximity. âI wasnât expecting you to be so ticklish. Itâs cute.â Their fingers trailed somewhat hesitantly under her arms, forcing Ragatha to clasp her arms against her sides.
Ragatha suspected that their last comment wasnât something she was supposed to hear, but she couldnât quite tell.
Now that she was no longer hiding her face, Ragatha felt strangely exposed, and she couldnât quite tell if she disliked the feeling or not. She didnât get to dwell on her thoughts for long because Zooble started kneading right in the center of her stomach.
âMmmeehehehehee!â Ragatha let out a strange, startled giggle. She twisted herself away from Zoobleâs torturous touch, only to have another one of Gangleâs ribbons flit against the crook of her neck. Ragatha scrunched up her chin to protect the sensitive area, but Gangle just moved onto the other side of her neck. âEeheheehe! Ganglehehe!â Ragatha tried to complain, but her voice came out much higher in pitch than she had intended to.Â
âAre you feeling better, Ragatha?â Gangle asked. Her ribbons fluttered against Ragathaâs neck, feeling more like dozens of feathers brushing against her skin.
Ragatha opened her mouth to speak, but Zooble began spidering their fingers right where her side met her hip, causing her to swallow a sharp gasp of air. She ended up snorting, again, instead. âEeheheyaha!â Ragatha curled up into herself before trying again. âHeheheeyehehes!â
âDo you want us to stop, now?â Zooble asked.
For a moment, Ragatha thought about shaking her head no. She knew it was selfish, but she was kind ofâŚenjoying the undivided attention. Ragatha had spent most of her life making sure that everyone else around her felt like they could rely on her. She wanted to make everyone feel cared for, but being on the receiving end of that care was addicting, in a way. Ragatha had never felt this way before, and she wasnât sure if she wanted to stop.
But Ragatha knew that Caine had another adventure lined up the next morning, and she didnât want to keep Zooble and Gangle up for any longer than she already had. Besides, the tickling was starting to get a tad overwhelming. âHehehe! Yehehes!â Ragatha squeaked out. âHeheheehee!â
With that, they stopped.
Exhausted and slightly breathless, Ragatha slumped against Zooble, who, surprisingly, placed their hand firmly on her side to hold her in place. âYou doing good?â they asked.
Ragatha nodded. âYeah,â she said, giggling softly. âI feel better now. Thank you.â She meant it.
Gangle gave her a tired half-smile before yawning. âThatâs good,â she said. âIâm glad.â She let out a second yawn before lying down on the floor. Using her hands as a pillow, she curled into a ball and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, light snores fluttered out of her.
Ragatha giggled. âAw, Zooble, Gangle fell asleep.â When Zooble didnât respond, she peered curiously over her shoulder.Â
Zoobleâs eyes were closed as they leaned against the edge of their bed. They werenât snoring, but Ragatha could tell by the slow rhythmic rise and fall of their chest that they had fallen under the same fate as Gangle. That was fast.
Ragatha smiled to herself before closing her eyes. Quiet moments in the circus were rare, but they werenât unwelcome.

This is a tickle fic!
~đ~
Ragatha wasnât exactly sure what brought on Caineâs recent interest in horror-themed adventures. The last three or so seemed to revolve around haunted mansions and evil butchers and never-ending corn mazes.
This one was no different as each of the members were forced to explore the innards of an abandoned mall. Ragatha steeled herself. Knowing Caine, there was bound to be some sort of twist that would turn this adventure from scary to downright horrifying.
Thankfully, Ragatha wasnât alone. At the start of the adventure, everyone was forcibly paired off (via some sort of odd tunnel that Caine had pushed everyone through), and she happened to land with Gangle for this one.
Ragatha stepped into a dilapidated toy store, and Gangle followed closely behind. She had barely said anything since the adventure started, which was fine! Ragatha was happy that Gangle felt comfortable with her enough to not feel the need to fill the silence with something.
But the creaky whistle from the dying HVAC system punctuated with the occasional drip, drip, drip from the leaky pipes and the distant groans from unseen structures were beginning to get to her.
âSo, uh,â Ragatha started, unsure where she was going with this. âWhat do you think Caineâs got up his sleeve this time?â
Gangle sniffled. âWhat do you mean?â She wandered over to one of the dusty shelves littered with various knickknacks.
âI mean, Caine always has something zany planned, soââ
While Ragatha was speaking, Gangle ran her ribbon over a particularly well-decorated box.
The top sprang open.
A clown with needles for teeth and bloody holes where its eyes should have been leapt out from the darkness within.
Gangle screamed.
She stumbled backward in blind panic, her ribbons twisted beneath her as her heel caught onto a jagged piece of linoleum. She crashed into Ragatha with a loud splat that rattled through the hallways.
Ragatha grunted as Gangleâs weight collapsed onto her. They both fell to the floor in a tangled heap of ribbons and fabric.
It took Ragatha a few seconds to regain her bearings. She groaned and tried to reach over to rub the part of her head that had directly hit the floor, but she found that she couldnât exactly move her wrist. Ragatha tugged her arm once, twice, and then thrice but something held it back.
Somewhere on top of her, Gangle whimpered. âIâm sorry, Ragatha. I didnât realizeâŚâ She trailed off.
âThatâs quite alright,â Ragatha said. âThis place is pretty scary, after all.â She tried to shift to the side to allow Gangle move off of her, but she still couldnât budge. âUh, hey, Gangle? Do you mind getting off of me?â
âOh, yeah, sorry!â Gangleâs ribbons strained around her as she tried to get up, but after a few seconds, she hadnât moved. She tried again, but still nothing. âUm,â Gangle stuttered. âI-I think Iâm stuck.â
âHuh?â
âI think IâmâŚâ Gangle tried a more delicate approach this time, but she still couldnât get off of her. ââŚtangled around you.â She gave a sharper pull. Ragatha flinched as one of Gangleâs ribbons squeezed her torso. âAh, so sorry!â
Ragatha shook her head. âHey, itâs okay! These things happen.â She squinted through the dark, vaguely wishing that she had hit the light switch when she entered this place. At least, they would have been able to see what they were doing. âDo you think you can try to detangle yourself from me? One ribbon at a time?â
Gangle hummed. Ragatha could feel her pull at the ribbon that had curled itself around her arm. It twisted slightly as a knot was starting to form, but she slowed down and began weaving one end away from the beginning of a loop.
It was a gentle process, almost painstakingly so, since Gangle was now seemingly keen on drawing out every movement to its longest possible length. Too gentle. Ragatha only realized how tense she had gotten when the ribbon ghosted dangerously close to her underarm. The touch sent a sharp flicker throughout her increasingly warm body.
âAre you okay?â Gangle asked. She could be so astute at the worst of times.
âIâm fine,â Ragatha said, painfully aware of the giggle at the tip of her tongue. âIt just tickles a bit.â
âIâm sorry,â Gangle said. âIâll try to be more careful.â
Another ribbon loosened from around Ragathaâs waist, sliding inch by inch through the crook of her side. The movement was feather-light, hesitant, and almost timid, which made it worse.
Ragatha pressed her lips together. She was determined to stay still so as to not mess up Gangleâs concentration, but the fluttering feeling kept creeping up the back of her throat. Her shoulders jerked as the ribbon skimmed her side again. âHmmhmhmâŚâ A tiny laugh escaped before she could stop it.
âOh, sorryâŚâ
âIhihitâs okay,â Ragatha said, now choosing to just embrace it. âJustâŚtry to get it over with.â
âOkay.â
Gangle fiddled with the ribbon around her arm again. It drifted over to the top of her ribs, and Ragatha let out an odd noise. âAha, Gahangle!â In spite of her laughter, Gangle kept going. The ribbon lingered against that particularly maddening spot. âMmmheheheâŚ!â
âSorry, sorry, sorry,â Gangle kept muttering under her breath as she worked to untangle herself. Thankfully, she had managed to free the ribbon from around Ragathaâs arm, but she still had a lot more to do.
Gangle used her newly freed ribbon to coil around the others that clung to Ragathaâs torso. The fluttery silk skimmed over the small of her back, and goosebumps prickled her skin.
Ragathaâs breath hitched. âHhhâheheheâŚâ She pressed her cheek against the floor. It was probably dirty, but that was the only way she could even attempt to ground herself and muffle her laughter even a bit. She hadnât realized she was soâŚsensitive.
Ragatha squeezed her eyes shut.
The ribbons around her middle loosened, but even as they pulled free, they still seemed to tease her at the narrow pinch of her waist. Ragatha curled slightly inward. Her free hand grabbed onto one of the ribbons by instinct.
âIâm sorry, again,â Gangle said, but Ragatha could tell by the tiny lilt of her voice that she was starting to sound amused.
Honestly, Ragatha was beginning to find the humor in the situation, too. She wondered if getting tickled silly was a part of Caineâs idea of a spooky horror adventure.
âHnkâŚhehereâŚâ Ragatha reached out to grab another ribbon. This one clung tightly around her leg. She pulled at it, loosening it up a bit to try to make it easier for Gangle to free herself.
Gangle grinned softly. âThanksâŚâ
She slowly unwinded the ribbon from her leg, but the feather soft movement, especially near the back of her knee, let a new wave of sharp giggles spill out of her.
âEhehehe! Are weheheeeâŚare we almost done?â
âKind of?â Gangle said. âIâm making a bit of progress, but it still might take a while.â
Gangleâs ribbons slithered down Ragathaâs shin. Somehow, that tickled as well? Was she just ticklish everywhere, then? How did she survive this long?
âOhoho my goshâŚ!â Ragatha squealed, mainly as a response to the overwhelming gentle sensations rather than what Gangle had said.
âI-Iâll try to be quick, though!â
She moved onto the two ribbons that had somehow managed to curl around Ragathaâs other arm. As she slowly tried to unwind one from the other, they each ever so gently glided down the inside of her forearm.
Ragatha scrunched up her nose. The tension crackled beneath her skin, and she found her shoulders shaking once more with barely constrained laughter. âAhaha, G-GangleâŚâ She shifted over to her side to give her more room to work. ââŚthahat spotâs bahahadâŚâ
This time Gangle laughed out loud without even trying to hide it. âRagatha, Iâm barely touching you!â
âI knowww!â She whined. âI cahahanât help it.â
âWhat if I justâŚâ
Gangle fluttered the tip of her ribbon at the crease of Ragathaâs palm.
âGahahangle!â Ragatha giggled. She clenched her hand shut. âYouâre doing thahahat on purpose!â
âIâm sorry. I couldnât help myself.â Gangle returned to working on the ribbons tied around Ragathaâs arm. âItâs fun seeing you so giggly.â
âEhehe, well, Iâm glahad youâre having fun, theehehen.â Ragatha tried to make her tone sound sarcastic, but it didnât work as she fought through the peals of giggles. Besides, it wasnât like she got the chance to spend a lot of one-on-one time with Gangle, anyway. Ragatha was enjoying herself for the most part.
Soon, Gangle got into the rhythm of untying herself while Ragatha giggled freely underneath her. She tried to help in any way she could, but it was difficult due to how much she was twitching. Gangle didnât seem to mind too much, though.
In fact, what Gangle had said earlier about it being fun to see Ragatha all âgigglyâ replayed in her mind over and over again. Her cheeks grew warm. It wasnât often Ragatha could laugh so freely in the circus, so this was all a little overwhelming, but it was also kind of nice? It was really nice, actuallyâŚ
After a while, Gangle shifted to the side, and it took Ragatha a second to realize she was no longer on top of her. Slowly, Ragatha sat up onto her knees. She looked to her side to see Gangle laying down on the ground.
âThat took so much longer than I thought it would,â Gangle groaned.
âTell me about it.â Ragatha rubbed the back of her arm. She could feel the butterflies still flitting around her stomach.
âShould we try to find the others now?â
âHm, sure, but I want to do something first.â
Gangle blinked before looking up at Ragatha curiously. âWhat?â
Ragatha wiggled her fingers in the air. âGetting my revenge!â
âEeek! Nohohoh!â Gangle put her hands up to try to defend herself, but they were no match for Ragathaâs retaliation.
She lunged forward, and grabbed Gangle by her sides. Their laughter drowned out the distant creaks echoing throughout the mall.
Begging for more cheer up tickles with Lee!Ragatha and Lers Gangle and Zooble (or just Zooble lol)
Ragatha wound a strand of hair around her finger as she shifted in her seat on the couch. She couldnât bring herself to look up at Gangle nor Zooble while she spoke.
âItâs silly, right?â Ragathaâs voice wavered. âTo feel kind ofâŚI donât know. Jealous? Of you two?â She hesitated, choosing to focus on smoothing down her dress instead.
Ragathaâs heart hammered in her chest when neither of them answered right away. Her face grew hot, and she found herself regretting saying anything at all. If Zooble and Gangle didnât dislike her before this, then they definitely would now.
âI donât think itâs silly,â Gangle said after a while. âI mean, weâre human. Itâs normal to feel that way.â
âYeah,â Zooble added. Ragatha could feel them lean back against the couch. They propped one of their legs up. âYouâre our friend, too, Ragatha. We care about you.â
Ragatha hummed and crossed her arms. âI know. I know.â She chuckled softly. âItâs just hard for me sometimes.â
Gangle hummed softly. âAfter our adventure yesterday, I tried looking for you.â
Ragatha looked up. âReally?â
âYeah, I was planning on getting a drink at the cafĂŠ, and I wanted to invite you.â She shook her head. âI couldnât find you, though.â
âOh.â
Ragatha recalled having retreated directly to her room after that adventure. Usually, after particularly bad ones, she would hang back and try to cheer everyone up, but even she didnât have any energy once they finished up with Caineâs wacky âEscape from the Graveyardâ adventure.
Something soft fluttered against her neck. On instinct, Ragathaâs shoulders sprang up quickly. âAhaha?â She giggled despite herself as she stole a glance to her right.
Gangle, through her tragedy mask, was smiling softly. Her ribbon, which tried to weave itself underneath Ragathaâs chin, pulled away.
âSorry,â she apologized in a tone that didnât sound particularly apologetic. âI was just thinking about how I missed your smile.â
Butterflies swam around Ragathaâs stomach. Unsure of what to do with her hands, she clutched the fabric of her dress. âHuh?â was the only thing that managed to tumble out of her mouth.
âMe too,â Zooble said over her shoulder. Their fingers danced up the small of her back, making Ragatha shudder. âWe can try going to the cafĂŠ later today. How does that sound?â
Ragatha tried to answer Zoobleâs question, but Gangle chose that time to coil a ribbon up around her upper arm. One end dug into the hollow of her armpit.
She gasped and tumbled backward right into Zoobleâs arms. âOho my gohohosh! Guhuhuys!â Her plea came out more like a whine, which only made another swell of heat spread up her cheeks.
âI like that idea,â Gangle said. Her other ribbon started poking at her stomach. It darted this way and that with such dizzying speed that Ragatha could barely keep track. âWhat do you think, Ragatha?â
Ragatha hid her face in her hands. She scrunched up her mouth to quell the giggles that flew out of her, but it didnât work. âHahahaa, hehehehey!â
âThatâs not an answer.â Zooble cupped Ragathaâs torso, and used all their digits to dig into the chubbier part of her stomach.
Ragatha howled as she bucked in place, but Zooble had a good grip on her. She grabbed onto their wrists instinctually, but she didnât bother to try to pull them off of her.
âAw, do you not want to go with us?â Gangle faked a pout. She returned to Ragathaâs neck, fluttering her ribbons under the horribly ticklish spot under her chin.
Ragatha snickered through her teeth. Gangle was so devastatingly gentle that it somehow made the sensations so much worse. âAhahah! I-I-hahahaaha!â Once again, she couldnât seem to get the words out through bouts of laughter.
âYou what?â Zooble asked. Their fingers shot up to her ribs, where they began curling and uncurling repeatedly.
Ragatha jumped forward suddenly to try to get away, but that only brought her closer to Gangleâs tickly ribbons. She cackled as she squirmed in place.
âI-I cahahahanât! Ehehehehe! Gohohohohosh!â A single hiccup escaped in between giggles. âEeeeep!â
Zooble took that as a sign to pull away, while Gangle kept going, this time, much softer. Her ribbons twisted around her forearm as she dragged the ends across the length of her arm. The action was calming, but goosebumps still grazed her skin.
âSo,â Zooble said. âReady to go to the cafĂŠ?â
Ragatha nodded slowly, still giggling away. âS-SuhuhureâŚ!â
AHH your writing is so good!! i just hope you know that :))

Is it Really that Rude to Stare?
Zooble, Gangle, and Ragatha
Summary: Zooble and Gangle catch Ragatha not so inconspicuously spying on them.

This is a tickle fic!
~đ~
Ragatha knew it was rude to stare. Sticking oneâs nose into someone elseâs business was uncouth, and it showed a true lack of decorum.
ButâŚ
Ragatha snapped her head away (again) from the sight in the common room. She hadnât meant to walk in on Gangle and Zooble! If she knew they were there, she wouldnât have left her room in the first place.
In fact, Ragatha should march back into her room right now and mind her business.
But.
Ragatha peeked around the corner.
Gangleâs ribbons were coiled around Zoobleâs torso. She twirled the tips of the fabric at their sides, digging at the divots right above their hips.
âSnrkâ! Gahahangle!â Zooble cackled. Despite not having a mouth, they tried to press their face against one of the cushions. âAhahaHAahaha!â Their torso twitched left and right, but Gangle held them firmly in place.
Ragatha wondered if they were shy about their laugh, and if that was why they were trying to stifle it. That was a silly thought, of course. This was Zooble she was thinking about. They wouldnât have such aâŚa random insecurity like that.
With one claw arm, Zooble grabbed one of the attacking ribbons to straighten it out. Then, with their other armâthis one a cartoony gloved handâthey glided their fingers along the upper parts of the silk, near where her underarms would be.
Gangle folded forward and squeaked. âEeehahaehe! Zoooooble! Thahatâs not fair!â She fluttered her ribbons near their neck in retaliation.
Zooble scrunched up their shoulders. Their little wing accessory flicked up and down with each loud chirp of laughter. âHmmehehe!â They began poking at the ribbons that curled around the invisible expanse of her stomach, which made Gangle let out a tiny squeal.
Ragatha turned away once more. Ah, geez, why couldnât she stop staring? She tugged at the collar of her dress, vaguely wondering when it got so hot in here. A small part of her heart ached, and restless energy weaved through her. She tried to expel some of it by wringing her hands or pacing near the doorway but it did little to quell the butterflies that had somehow found their way to her stomach.
âGangle, wait.â
Ragathaâs ears perked up.
Zooble continued. âIt looks like someone wants to join in our little game.â
Ragatha froze. It took her a good three seconds to gain the confidence to turn back around. Still, her hands trembled.
Both Gangle and Zooble stared at her with wide, impish grins. Ragathaâs blood ran cold.
Then, her heart began to hammer with barely contained excitement.
Gangle giggled and tilted her mask to the side, looking much like those cute characters she liked to doodle in her sketchbook. Gangle smiled ever so sweetly before mouthing something.
Ragatha leaned forward curiously.
âRun.â
Oh?
Oh! Oh, goodness!
Ragatha did not need to be told twice.
She turned around and sprinted down the nearest hallway. Colorful wallpaper seemed to smear together as she ran as fast as could. Her shoes pounded against the floor loud enough to almost drown out her panicked laughter.
Unfortunately, âas fast as she couldâ did not equal fast enough.
Something grabbed her shoulders, halting her hard enough that she nearly stumbled.
A gloved hand dug viciously into her side.
âEEAHAHA!â Ragatha shrieked. Her legs fell out from under her, but Zooble was more than ready to follow her to the ground. Two thin ribbons slithered up her torso and wiggled themselves neatly into the grooves of her armpits. âOh myâyeyehahaaai!!â She clamped her arms down, but Gangle had already found her sweet spot.
âIf you wanted to join us, you could have just asked,â Zooble said. âNo need to stare.â
âWeâre more than happy to share the love!â Gangle continued to drill the edges of her ribbons up her underarms.
Ragatha twisted helplessly underneath the attention. Laughter freely burst out of her, causing her to grin so hard that her cheeks ached. Every breath she took ended up dissolving into bright, uncontrollable giggles.
âOkayahahahay! Iâll hahaha! Iâll do that nehext tihihihime!â Ragatha leaned into Zoobleâs hand as they began to scribble lightly across her soft, unguarded stomach. Zooble must have noticed because they began going faster, earning a clipped squawk from her. âAAAahâ! I prohohomise! I prohomise! Ahaha!â
What happened next was mainly based on instinct rather than quick decision. Ragathaâs fingers darted out, and weaved their way in between a few of the ribbons that curled around Gangleâs sides.
She had primarily done that to ground herself, but Gangle jumped. âEeeeeâŚ! Nohohohoâ!â She squealed as Ragatha began to wiggle her fingers through the gaps.
Gangleâs ribbons flared outward in a startled burst before coiling around herself in some sort of way to protect her sensitive silk parts from Ragathaâs tickle attack.
Ragatha started to speak before biting her lip to stop herself. She genuinely didnât think that would work. For a moment, she didnât know what to say, but a newfound resolve wove its way between her fingers.
âIââ Ragatha stuttered briefly before gathering her footing. âI got you nohohow!â
She sat up before wiggling her fingers deeper into Gangleâs sides. She made sure to massage the edges of the ribbons that curled into one another, which made Gangle giggles increase an octave. She curled into a ball on the ground. Gangle tried to stop Ragatha by grabbing her wrists, but she didnât get far.
âHey!â Zooble started scratching at the lowest groove of Ragathaâs ribs, but they quickly faltered once she started drumming her fingers across their torso. âHheheheyâ!â They tried to repeat themselves, only for the sound to dissolve into a loud cackle.
Unfortunately, Zooble was stubborn, and they immediately dug their hand into Ragathaâs underarm. Ragatha flinched violently and fell into a cascade of hiccupy laughter. âWahahaha! Zooble!â
Ragatha tried her best to maintain her grip on both Gangle and Zooble, which wasnât easy to do considering how squirmy both of them were. Still, she managed.
Until Gangle managed to thread another ribbon up the back of her knee.
âGahahahangle!â Ragatha kicked her legs out helplessly. âStop tihihickling meee!!â
âYou fihihirst!â
Ragatha stopped.
Gangle did too, and Zooble followed immediately after.
All three of them collapsed into a breathless heap onto the floor. They were practically a tangle of limbs, ribbons, and other spare parts.
âYouâre both evil,â Ragatha declared through another bout of helpless giggles.
âMm, maybe a little,â Zooble admitted.
Gangle only laughed softly. Her ribbons were still looped lazily around Ragathaâs wrists. âBut, you still had fun, though, right?â
Ragatha opened her mouth, unsure of what to say. Her first instinct was to deny it on principle alone, but she didnât want to lie to either of them, especially not when they took the time to include her during what was obviously meant to be a private moment.
Zooble poked her side, again, interrupting that thought.
Ragatha let out a startled squeak.
All three of them dissolved into laughter as another tickle fight began.
