The Paleo Party Guest of the day is Tianchisaurus nedegoapeferima!

Originally, this dinosaur was almost called Jurassosaurus, in honor of Jurassic Park, but instead they used the actors surnames as inspiration for the specific name!

In honor of Jurassic Park, I have two color options for them, based on the cars from the movies! The Jeep and the Park versions.

(Their tail is also debated as it has not yet been found, so if they do find one, edits will be made if they were a nodosaur/lacking the club tail)

Tianchisaurus is a poorly known Ankylosaur from the Toutunhe Formation of the Juggar Basin, China. It lived in the Bajocian to Bathonian ages of the Middle Jurassic, from 170 to 166 million years ago. The describer thought it was an Ankylosaurid - the group consisting of Ankylosaurus itself and all the Ankylosaurs more closely related to it than to Nodosaurus - however, this would make Tianchisaurus the earliest member of the group, so it seems that more research is necessary to confirm this. It’s species name is literally named for the main stars of Jurassic Park, so that’s also a thing (Sam Neil, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough, Bob Peck, Marin Ferrero, Ariana Richards, Joseph Mazzello). I wish I could make that up.

This is probably Tianchisaurus. Literally. It lived in the Late Jurassic of China. I regret making Jack draw this.
