Who would give the kid(s) cookies in the middle of the night: “You have no idea how many times I found Kou and Arata eating cookies in our bed when I came back late from night shifts. And it's always Kou's idea.”
Who always takes the kid(s) side: “Kougami defends the kid even when we find him playing with my father's old gun. Sometimes I don't know who the adult is between them, the father or the son.”
Who would wake up early to make breakfast for the kid(s) before school: “Kou is the one who wakes up first, so he's in charge of making breakfast for everyone.”
Who gets the kid(s) ready for school in the morning: “I do, while Kougami cooks breakfast.”
Who takes the kid(s) to school: “Depends on who is free that morning, since our shifts vary.”
Who goes to parent teacher conferences: “I do. I also am part of the PTA, because I want to make sure Arata’s experience at school is better than mine had been. Other parents sometimes lament that I am too stressing, but Kou takes my side, so that’s ok.”
Who will be the first to suggest to have ‘the talk’ with the kid(s): “I suggested Kou did it. I had no idea how to approach the subject since I didn't get the Talk myself. But then again, Arata already knew how the thing worked. He's a smart kid.”
Who would choose their child(s) prom outfit: “After a week of fighting, we decided to leave Tsunemori in charge of it, before me accusing Kou of having no fashion sense, and him getting back at me for being too picky destroyed our family.”
Who would cry when the kid(s) go off to college: “We both did, it was an incredibly emotional moment. Arata gave us a disconcerted look and just sighed.”

Ginoza sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Oh for the love of Sibyl…”
He started searching for the cookies, knowing that if Shimotsuki found them she would spend the day bitching about how Enforcers couldn’t keep the office in a decent state and took their job as some kind of game.
After a good 30 minutes of searching every corner of the office he had only gathered ten and by now was looking quite desperate. He just hoped no one entered while he was crouching under a table, ass up in the air while muttering curses in Hitoshi’s direction.
Realizing Shimotsuki’s shift would begin in a few minutes, he swallowed his pride and called Hitoshi on his device.
“Hitoshi? It’s me. This is not funny at all. Tell me where the last five cookies are, or I swear I’m having Dime piss on your door tonight.”
