i mean, i'm certainly not completely asymptomatic, and my tsh isn't low enough to be optimal. (i'm down to 3.16, which is within the "normal" range of <4.2 and a massive decrease compared to where i was before, but apparently <2.5 is the ideal, and people on reddit report feeling best around 1.0 or so.) but i'm definitely feeling better overall!

i also had my tpo tested for the first time, and it was (unsurprisingly) confirmed to be high. so my my doctor said my thyroid is probably gonna continue being shitty forever, and i'm gonna need to monitor it for the rest of my life so my medication dosage can be adjusted as needed. which wouldn't be a huge deal if i lived in a civilized country, but i'm usamerican, so having a blood test and telemedicine appointment every six months is gonna cost me at least $400 a year after insurance. yayyyyyy. 🙃

my body temperature has been SO normal! up until now, i’ve spent every day in an endless cycle of “wake up freezing and turn the thermostat up -> start stress sweating before my first meeting and turn the thermostat down -> become extremely cold within five minutes of the meeting ending and turn the thermostat back up -> start sweating again before my next meeting and turn the thermostat back down -> rinse and repeat.” but i haven’t felt particularly cold or hot this week! my bf keeps grabbing my hand and being shocked at how lukewarm it is lol.

my energy levels have been noticeably higher. it’s gonna take a while to fully wean myself off of energy drinks, but i’d say i’ve needed about 25% less caffeine than usual this week. and there was even one day that i managed to get out of bed after three alarms instead of my usual eight!

i’m already seeing changes to my mental health. turns out not feeling like i’m five minutes away from falling asleep at any given moment makes me feel a lot more motivated to do things! i’m also noticing myself feeling fewer physical anxiety symptoms. like, my thoughts are still anxious, but my body isn’t, at least not compared to before. my muscles have felt less stiff, and my heart hasn’t been beating as fast in stressful work situations.

idk if it’s just my imagination, but i think my skin may have gotten a little softer?
