“You don’t look fine.” The words held no bite, no teasing or hint of animosity. Logan instead inched a bit closer with an arm out to offer support for when he was getting to his feet. “I’m not quite as tough as you guys, but I can still help.”
It was only after she’d spoke that she realized just how stupid it must seem from the other’s perspective. Logan was a kid, barely over the five foot mark wearing a light purple t-shirt featuring a unicorn under her open jacket, offering to help. But, she was one of the only ones who had run into the chaos instead of away from it.
And the only one to do so to help fight instead of just to get people out of the way.
That wasn’t to say she hadn’t helped in that regard, but stopping the fight seemed the bigger priority and seeing Thor hit the ground had definitely filled her with concern. When she’d run away from the group of civilians she’d been with she told herself she’d focus on low-level looking enemies but damn was she impulsive at times. Her impulsiveness was likely to get her killed eventually.
Logan looked around, spotting the hammer and taking a step towards it before stopping. What even was the etiquette of something like this? Was it okay for her to just go for his hammer even if it was to pass it back? She’d worry about that later, her focus returning to Thor himself and moving closer to him instead of mjolnir.
“I’m tougher than I look.”
