A moment of silence as Jasmine held the 'Chu tightly, as if fearing that she'd be gone again in an instant if she let go.

"That was two days ago! I thought you might've gotten hurt- or captured- or worse!" She squeaks, finally releasing her hold and settling on her haunches.

If Elysia was gone... well Jasmine didn't know what she would do.

“Oof!” 

Sparky felt something soft ram into his back. “Huh?”

Paws patted around his sides, trying to feel for what this other thing was. He felt ... another pair of paws? He craned his neck over, vaguely seeing something yellow. Turning around, he saw...Oh! It’s Ely! Happy as always to see a friend, he piped up. 

“Yo, dude! Whazzup--Oh, hey? What’s wrong, yo?”

He cocked his head. She was mumbling about something being embarrassing--what’d she have to be embarrassed about? Maybe he could distract her somehow.

“TACKLE!”

An outburst was the last thing that Jasmine had expected from the female ‘Chu. 

“Well y’see...” She began, staring down at the grass between her paws. “My nest was in an abandoned human nest. The Pokemon that were with the humans said they were making room for an ‘Apartment,’ whatever that is.” 

Had she been able to fight them, goodness knows she would have, but she was no match for the machines that they brought in, tearing through brick and mortar as easily as her claws could tear through paper. She’d stared in dismay as the walls toppled in on each other, destroying the place she’d called home for so long. 

an even bigger smile lit up on his face “ that makes me really happy , your the light in my world , the song on my breath , the wind in my sails . i don’t know what i would ever do without you “ 

pikachu wasn’t usually good about expressing how he felt ... but something was different . like he just got a whole new outlook on everything . “ now what does my beautiful cupcake wanna do today ? you name it ! the world is yours my queen “

"Come on! This thing is really neat!" The smaller rodent urges her friend on towards the now-shared den, practically dancing on her paws in her eagerness to show her find.

She’d been searching through the city again, trudging through the light dusting of snow on a search for materials for the den. What she'd found was not immediately impressive; only a simple grey drawstring bag, barely as big as she was and sitting in a gutter. Upon tugging it open though, oh, she was amazed. She’d dragged the entire thing back to Elysia's den and promptly gone out to find her.

"Come see!" She could barely contain her excitement as she entered into the den, rushing over to the little bag nestled in the corner.

"I know it doesn't look like much now." She began, working it open with her claws. "But look at this!"

The little stone sitting inside lit up, a brilliant translucent blue-green twinkling in the dappled light. Suspended inside there looked to be a bolt of lightning, frozen in time inside of the stone. A Thunder Stone.

Spark could only smile. My my, weary one we have here. It wasn’t uncommon for Pokemon to be leery of the Instinct Leader. After all, there’s an obvious language barrier between humans and Pokemon, toes are often stepped on... intentional or accidental, it’s hard to tell.

“Fair enough, my electric friend. I merely refer to you as little for you are smaller than I am. If you wish to call me ‘tall one’ I will not be offended! It is often joked between humans, if one is taller than the other, for the shorter human to ask ‘how is the weather up there?’ Implying the taller human’s head is in the clouds because they are so tall!” 

The blond then sat himself down, placing a picnic basket down in front of him. He lifted it open, revealing a chocolate PokePuff. It had some delicious icing on it, as well as a few pieces of candy on top. Spark then moves the basket away, holding out the puff with his hand.
