what do you head canon about the CCC
Headcanons? CCC? Whooo boy
Okay, first, the overall organisation: The definition of morally grey, I mean, ‘control chaos’ is extremely vague, and there are many ways to go about it.
I think some branches do genuinely good work such as stopping/reducing freak accidents and helping people recover from chaotic events. This is probably the most publicised face. They also keep track of the timelines, ensuring everything is running smoothly in case Henry decides to do something plot relevant.
Then there’s the less good things. Whenever there are high levels of chaos the CCC kinda freaks out and dispatches the quickest solution to rid that chaos, often times just causing a lot of collateral and increasing the chaos before stopping it (see Just Plain Epic, you CANNOT tell me that was a rational response the ccc had, also the very depressing fail with the CCC worker saying goodbye to his family and committing mass murder in ItA)
Ok now very headcanonny territory.
The CCC captures and contains things with high levels of innate chaos, could be unstable objects and such. But that also includes people who are unfortunate enough to be in the CCC’s attention. The CCC basically is a prison for them, and sometimes experiments are performed on them so the CCC can research the chaos phenomenon and attribute better. A scientist with no ethics’ dream.
As a result most workers in this sector of the CCC sign an NDA and often have few or very twisted morals, or have tamped down their concerns with ethics. So most workers aren’t extremely happy or are just a bit insane. (Specifically those working with containing ‘chaotic organisms’, people in other branches have their head on their shoulders, and are often happier)
I dunno if this is coherent but it’s late and I’m tired, hope this helped answer some questions about my version of the ccc, but it’s a shame the games never properly expanded on that part
Starting the new year off with some Center for Chaos Containment-made posters.
They're just taken from other unnerving-looking posters that are already found on the internets, just adapted for the CCC.
