My friend used to live in this crumbling pile in Thrupp, Oxfordshire.  Once it was a grand old thing, set right on the London road. Now sadly it’s been broken up into several flats, some uninhabitable, and the current landlord refuses to do any work, other than structural emergencies to prevent the building completely succumbing to subsidence.  Finally, after part of the roof fell in, she decided enough was enough and packed up sticks to move to France where she now restores old farmhouses in need of love.  I often wonder whether the place is still lived in, still standing, or if it has finally become a genuine ruin.
