A gruff, dry-humored, and blunt academic is seeking his ex-wife. Married to Toby for roughly 2 years, she was well-suited for him and could easily stand toe-to-toe with him. They had lots of spirited debates, but fertility issues led to the breakdown of their short marriage and resulted in divorce.

Alice & Annie’s relationship went from childhood bully to frenemies to crush to significant other over the course of their youth and twenties. She has always been wary of her wife & her wife’s best friend, always accusatory and skeptical. She comes from a family that revels in gaslighting and seeking validation and consolation through codependency. Alice resented her sister for leaving town and leaving her to be the focal point of their parents’ resentment and angst, but not enough to leave town or leave her wife. But now, 5-6 years later, when she returns from her abduction, her sister is shouldering the ‘prodigal daughter’ role while their mother is ill, and her wife is in some kind of relationship with the best friend who never went away.

ego crush rp is a private site with a focus on our in-depth subplots.

we have three main subplots, with smaller “mini subplots” inside of them. every character must be tied to a subplot, as they are very intertwined with the site’s lore, as are all the characters on the site. we feel like this helps encourage plotting because you’ll already have connections baked in that can be explored! every member can start with two characters and earn more spots (up to 5!) through our silly and fun points system. 

what can you expect from ego crush rp? a community of writers who truly love world-building and character development. as a member, you can expect regular on-site newspaper editions, a fun reputation voting system, and lots of on-site and discord events and challenges, including mini ones like voting on lemonade wars happening in a local neighborhood.
