nearly a hundred years ago, rufus would not see any benefit to knowing a human sorcerer. they were magical, sure, but also human and he had a very real distaste for humans. however, knowing dion made an entirely new way for him to get More Shiny Objects when he “helped” him. and with one such Shiny Object in his pocket and an apple in his hand, he awaited the one dragon he could turn to for when it came with some nice relaxing plants.
(it was, essentially, dragon weed.)
he bit into the apple and sighed. he did not really wish to go inside when he could not hear nate bumbling about in there. it was a Respect thing, to not go near another dragon’s hoard. also a survival instinct. he could hear a shift nearby and hoped that it was nate and not some wayward mortal or another magical creature. he didn’t FEEL like talking them out of going near this place. he bit into his apple and looked around, lazy yet somewhat alert.
