For the story to work, you have to know I'm an introverted person.
And I am terribly introverted. I'd rather stand outside a classroom for an hour then go in 3 minutes late and have people stare at me. I have hid behind ambulances trying to meet my sporting idols, and once stayed on a bus half an hour past my stop because I was too petrified to ask the driver to open the door at the back of the bus. So it's no great feat to imagine that, in my family of boisterous, intense, social butterflies, I can get quite lost in the shuffle. Now I find it pertinent to mention here that my predominant profession is actress. It's like reverse stage fright - one I'm on stage I'm completely fine. I think it's because on stage, you're right no matter what. There's no need for fear of negative attention - it's all supposed to happen - part of the show. I can be exactly who the audience wants me to be, as loud or a quiet. And who could get mad at someone for being exactly who they wanted them to be? Exactly.
This is a little teaser for what’s coming up on my website. A mini series about the three most life changing quotes I have recieved from the three most important people in my life. The series outs me as a painfully slow learner, far more self-absorbed than I like people to think, and maybe more attentive than is stricly good for me. I have been fortunate in that the three strongest woman I have known in my life have all been my family. It is my highest hope that, at least at one time, they have also been my friends.

For the fairytale to work, I have to believe I am worth the magic.
Isn't that the trick to it? Believing you are worth the magic. It sounds a little surreal, but bear with me. And maybe replace the word "magic" with "effort". That you are worth the effort? Sounds a lot more down to earth, doesn't it? Now think of it this way - not just your own effort, but that of others as well. That if someone will not make an effort for you when you make an effort for them, maybe it's time to seek new company. That no one can tell you you're not worth something but yourself. That you are worth whatever effort it takes to achieve your goals. And maybe that's the magic - the believing part. That once you believe you're worth the effort the rest of the battle seams to fade away with the swirl of a magic wand . . . Because if you can teach yourself you are worth making the effort necessary for your goals, you have nothing in your way but a little perseverance.
This is a little teaser for what's coming up on my website. A mini series about the three most life changing quotes I have recieved from the three most important people in my life. There's bits about life, lots of love, some loss, and maybe more insight into my psyche than I'm comfortable with. Someone once asked me why I collected quotes. I told them I didn't know, but the real answer was to help explain myself when my own words failed me.
[In a word? Transformative.]
