They clearly got the dog actor to 'maul' (gently nibble) the dead Lord Baskervilles' neck by putting a treat on it. Stapelton (actually the greedy nephew disguised as Stapelton disguised as Sherlock Holmes) conveniently has his house saw trapped with a slide between his desk chair and dog kennel/ dungeon just in case he needs to drop someone from his desk chair to his dog kennel/dungeon. All the background character men are wearing kilts despite devonshire being on the opposite end of the UK from Scotland.
Ok I love the Granada adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, but how they did Tonga in Sign of the Four is abhorrent. He looks like they were going for 'early star trek klingon' and they should have done better by like. Idk. changing the story to be a bit less victorian-racist or at least having an actual black actor play the character (Kiran Shah, who plays Tonga, is an indian man born in Nairobi). Honestly there's a lot of kinda racist things from the OG stories they could have reframed.
I mean, the soviet adaptation just has a hobbit-looking white guy playing Tonga and that's somehow better than what Granada did.

I've wanted to try Taiping Hou Kui for ages, and I finally got some! The leaves are absolutely stunning, though at first I was a bit worried if they'd fit in my gaiwan (thats why the glass bottle in pic 1- though they soften quickly with hot water). Putting the leaves straight into a too-short gaiwan is kind of like putting spaghetti in a small pot.
Me and the roomie like a lot of leaves (4 grams per 200ml) steeped at 80°c for 30-60 seconds.
It has a slight umami flavour followed by sweetness, like a shaded sencha, and a dryness on the back of the tongue and throat.
