It was strange, unlike anything that he’d seen before. All he’d been doing was searching the many shops that seemed to appear in this sector, mainly in the hope of some sort of beneficial item- or even food. But alas, he wasn’t so lucky as to find anything like that. Instead he found himself standing in the most peculiar place he’d ever been. All around him were things that he’d never even imagined, of so many colours and shapes, none of which he recognised.
Yet the strangest of all sat in his hand. A cube with many different coloured squares adorning each surface. Fenris could see no discernible use for it, lifting the item and turning it around in his hands. Was it some sort of container? Perhaps a small statue of sorts? No matter what it was, the thing perplexed him, more so as he couldn’t make out what it was marked as on the shelf. Yet as he toyed with it in his hands, he noted that the squares seemed to move when turned, altering what colour was on what side.
What was this strange contraption? Letting out a discontented huff, the elf continued to play with the item, growing increasingly frustrated. Whilst he had gathered that matching the colours was likely the goal here, the fact that the task seemed impossible was getting to him. He had no idea what would happen if he completed it, but for some reason was compelled to continue. Yet as countless minutes passed, his attempts at completing the puzzle futile, Fenris growled softly, clenching his fist around the multicoloured cube.
“Venhedis...”
