having never met her dad due to his murder, she did what she could to know all about him and that included getting to know his old friends. anyone that had any information about him, any stories, or things that could make her feel closer to him was someone she wanted to get close to. randi sat across the table, bright eyed and ready to hear any story tatum was willing to tell about the father figure. "just tell me one thing first," she started, hands wrapped around her cup of coffee, "he was good, right?"

randi had left for a couple of months for the sake of her job. her podcast was getting relatively popular and she liked to travel to smaller towns to get input about smaller stories that made her different from the rest of the podcasts. when she left though, she'd requested her partner wait for her and it was because she was going to be gone a while. not only was she going to be away, she was going to be busy and she wasn't sure how much time she'd get to talk to them. coming back, the first thing on her mind was them and so, she showed up at theirs with little hesitation. she knocked on the door, her brows furrowed at the sound of someone else's voice coming from behind the door. someone she didn't recognize but she knew she couldn't jump to conclusions. "hi." was all that managed to come out when the other opened the door.
