Xander waved at Finch as he walked out of the Commune into the garden, followed by Neptune who had his hands stuffed into his pockets. "Hey Finch, think you could do me a favor? We just finished a tour of the house. I was hoping you could show them the way to the dance hall?" Giving Finch a look that he hoped conveyed why he didn't particularly want to be the one to do it. "This is Neptune and-" Xander blinked in confusion when he noted they were missing Karma. "Uh-.."

Neptune chuckled, "Yeah she does that, anyways like he said I'm Neptune or N if it's easier. Xander here said you knew a shortcut to the dance hall? Got a job there with my sister, so I can always just show her later." He didn't really get why Xander couldn't do it, he'd seemed happy enough to do a tour of the town until Neptune mentioned where he'd been hired.

xander was the perfect example of why one should never judge a book by its cover. from the outside, it appeared as though he might be one of those guys -- the kind that stay all day at the gym, love themselves, treat others like the very dirt he walked upon. that was the complete opposite of the truth. perhaps that’s why he felt so uncomfortable as the two young women on the treadmills kept staring and giggling at him. had he done something funny or embarrassing? were they hitting on him? it was something that bothered him for the rest of his day, making his very skin crawl whenever the thought popped into his mind. he needed a welcome distraction from someone that mattered, someone he trusted. sitting on the bench of the locker room, he texted dylan, hoping and praying he wasn’t barking up the wrong tree.
