Julia had a couple of bottles of tequila propped under her arms - thankful that at least time, it wasn’t of her own doing but rather, Sofia’s suggestion. It made her look a little better and she didn’t feel bad. When Julia passed Jade’s home, she pressed her hand to the door, fighting back the tears that threatened her and continued forward to Sofia’s. Knocking on the door, she waited for Sofia to open the door. It was dark outside, night blanketed the town and with each second that passed, she became more uneasy. “Sofia? It’s Julia - getting kinda creepy here.” After all, there was a killer running loose. 

This was a mistake.

No, that was a blatant lie, but it felt like a mistake. A death sentence, even. Stan had never thought he’d end up anywhere near Zabini Manor, but the words of its mistress had rung clear in his head for days: Sofia Zabini would do anything if it meant Gilderoy’s happiness. Even if it meant interacting with Stan for a period of time; even if it meant helping him plan a date worthy of Gilderoy Lockhart.

What Sofia didn’t seem to understand was that Stan would do what he could to make Gilderoy happy as well, and it seemed both of their limits were treating one another amicably. Go figure that that was the one thing they had in common.

That didn’t mean he was happy about turning to Sofia for help, but if the last date had proven anything, it was that he and Gilderoy had two completely different tastes. Who else to learn what Gilderoy would and wouldn’t like from than his best friend? Stan repeated that in his head as he approached the front door of Zabini Manor and gave it a knock, waiting a tense few moments before a house elf answered the door. He exhaled quietly and gave it a tight smile. “Hi, um, is Sofia home? Tell her Stanley would like to speak about Gilderoy.”

“Open the damn door, Sofia!” Danny called out, knocking on the door again. He wasn’t about to stop either. Not after the bullshit his ex-girlfriend had just pulled. He was furious and betrayed, but mostly, he was just really fucking angry at her. “If you can talk to the cops, you can sure as hell talk to me!” When the door was finally opened, revealing the girl he had spent the better part of two years with, Danny stretched his arms out. “You spoke against me to the cops? While there was a murderer going around? For something I didn’t do?!” Danny asked her, trying to keep his voice from rising and yelling at her. It was proving hard, but he had managed it so far, getting too angry would result in nothing but probably another arrest with so many eyes on him right now. 

It was almost 4:45 in the morning and Danny was walking around his family house only in a pair of low hanging sweats and a white tee, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He had just finished his call with Sofia as she drove to his house and once he knew she was parking her car, he had padded his way to the front. He wasn’t a stranger to being up this late. Between his own job - where time got away from him -, sleepless nights and nights like tonight with Sofia, it was common for him still be awake by the time the sun came. But tonight, he had rested his eyes in hopes of preparing himself for what was to come and was finding that waking up fully was a  bit harder than normal. They had a long night ahead of them. Sofia would most likely want to talk about his fight with Jordan. The thought made him rub at his bruised jaw and sore knuckles. They still hurt like a bitch. And Danny needed to tell her about Zada before she heard it elsewhere. The predication of how it would all go down already gave him a headache.

As he walked through his house, his eyes did a quick scan, making sure everything was in it’s place and the house looked presentable. Satisfied, he made it quickly to the front door, just as Sofia was walking up. Danny gave her a lopsided grin. 

If there were two words that often described Daniel Anderson they would probably be: impulsive and emotional. It wasn’t that he was a sappy person - no, but rather he felt first and acted rather than simmer and dwell. When he became angry, there was a dent in the nearest wall. When he felt betrayed, he went straight to confrontation. He blamed it on unhealed trauma from his past but he was working on it. 

However,  as he sat in his car and watched Jordan Hayes go into Sofia’s apartment last night - he almost lost it. 

Sofia and Danny were...complicated at best and often, it was an on/off again thing with them. They were off right now - but he had come here to talk tonight with Sofia because he had missed her.  Instead, he was met with an unholy sight. What pissed him off more was that Jordan seemed to be intoxicated, if his swayed walking or the way he had yelled for Sofia was any indication. The asshole was drunk and decided to bring that here?

And when Jordan never left, the more annoyed Danny got. 

It was bright in the morning, after a restless night, that Danny came back to Sofia’s and knocked rather angrily at the door. Part of him hoped the other man was still there, but it would probably be best if he wasn’t. He had no right  to be jealous- they weren’t together right now, but still. “Have fun last night?” It was the first thing he said to Sofia when the door finally opened, his gaze finding hers almost immediately.
