It had been quite the battle. He’d never stopped looking for Sasuke and where Orochimaru had taken his student. This time he’d found them and though he managed to hold his own for a time against Orochimaru and Kabuto, he hadn’t expected to feel Chidori’s bite in his own shoulder from his now former student. He’d gotten careless, gotten too fond and trusting of Sasuke as his pupil and team mate. Now they were long gone and he was slowly bleeding out against a massive tree.
Kakashi had started to slowly patch the injury, but it more akin to putting a pebble into a large pothole to fill it as far as treatment came. He stiffened as he heard movement, it was then he saw the Akatsuki cloak and the long raven locks. Itachi? Why was he here…? He thought inwardly, maybe it was bloodloss? Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. He was starting to feel dizzy, and memories from the past started to bubble up as he remembered his Anbu days with the weasel. “K-Kohei…” He whispered not even really aware of the words that he spoke outload in that moment.
Itachi’s thoughts were with Sasuke--but as he saw him leave the fight, he knew he was okay. He still did want to send a message to Orochimaru--that he could only have Sasuke for so long. He’d seen Kakashi take the hit, and he stayed hidden, waiting for Sasuke to leave the area. He didn’t want to cause another massive scene. He watched Kakashi try to patch the wound in vain and he shook his head. Even he wouldn’t be able to do much for it..but there was a few things he could try..
And thus, he moved over to Kakashi, and he stopped short when he was referred to as..kohei. He hadn’t been referred to like that since he left ANBU, and he moved over to him. He tilted his head to the side and gave him an assessing glance. He would definitely chalk this up to bloodloss--or Itachi hoped he would. “Hatake-taichou, I’m going to try to heal the wound. Don’t move.”
His sharingan spun and his hands glowed green for a few moments before flickering out. It was harder than it looked, and though Itachi had control he wasn’t sure he had the stamina to do more than to stop the bleeding. He could see the would sluggishly closing..and he took a step back.
“Hatake-taichou, is it okay that I move you?”
