“I plan on it. But one thing first..if you scare anyone I care about and they end up going to the hospital…I will defeat you.” Nico stared at him, just a fair warning since his scares are a level above normal..

It was hard for him to hold back laughter at her declaration. “Defeating me, that’s rich! I think you’ll have better luck de-salting the sea.” He sighed, wiping away a single tear from the corner of his eye. “How about I propose a concept: Save the best, me, for last? I can help you get other Gashatrophies or whatever else you’d like.

That little part of Haneul’s brain actually did what Tera ask: fucking panic. Oh God, if Haneul’s body manages to kill Scout then…well, stuff. Stuff will happen; very bad stuff.

Fuck.

Meanwhile, Scout took a step back when Haneul’s arms moved with Tera’s, a bit frightened about what the hell was going to happen next. She (sort of) knew how Haneul fought but who knows what the dude was going to do to him! It didn’t help that her only Death ability was seeing people die and if she had one right now, it’d be her seeing her own death.

…

Shit.

“Fuck no!” she raised her scythe to chest level again, “I’m not scared, at least I’m not the one who’s hiding behind a fuckin’ body y’know.” God, she hated calling Haneul just a ‘body’, he was human! Or, well, as human as he could be considering his status as her Arcana Partner (or shit like that).

“Now, I’ll ask one more fuckin’ time: what the fuck did y’do to Haneul-hyung?” she was half tempted to run up to Tera and stab him but–no, Haneul’s in the way.

Shit.

Sparks of glee made a laugh bubble from his throat. He was feeding from their fear like candy that was fueling his childishly twisted desire to play. Invigorated, he stepped in between Haneul and Scout, confident that he won’t be harmed. 

“I’m not going to kill anyone, don’t worry!” 

Knowing that Scout would try and attack him now that he was no longer shielded, Tera's own body started becoming less corporeal. Was that a smirk that tugged at his lips?

Sliding backwards, he closed the space between him and Haneul. The fading silhouette of data that was once Tera had merged with Haneul's body, installing itself into flesh and bone.

Tera restlessly paced around Haneul, a crackling of orange pixels trailing behind him. “Are you a fan of adrenaline?” His words snaked out like the discordant bits of data that fell from his body. “It’s excitement, energy; It’s fear. I haven’t played with anyone in ages, do you know how suffocating that is?”

The green tint in his eyes flashed brighter, glowing as his hand clenched.  “Come play my game, I assure you it’ll be fun.” A strand of the pixels trickled down from his closed hand and began moving towards the other. “Your body belongs to me as much as your mind does.”

Haneul could see Scout running to protect him, but he blocked her back before she could do anything; the pixels going through him and leaving his mind feel….blank.

Like nothing, it was like his mind was locked or something. All he knew was to listen to this one person and, well, that’s not going to go well is it?

Fuck, all what little subconscious he has left hopes that he doesn’t kill Scout; he really doesn’t want to find another Rider or go back home. Plus, she’s young and–blank.

Scout couldn’t help but see her Arcana Partner being taken over by those…pixel things and if that were the case, well, she was very fucked: while she had the advantage of switching to Death Arcana but she’d seen Haneul battle before and it was…scary. Really scary; she had no idea if she could handle that.

“H-hyung…? Ne, hyung?! Haneul-hyung?!” She ran over to him and shook him but got no response from him. She then glared at the mysterious man as she summoned her scythe,

Raising his own hands up in a defensive gesture, the bugster eyed the sharp blade on her person. “What do you mean? I haven’t done much about this guy.” The other’s body said otherwise, with the pixels now absorbing into his skin and arms relaxing into his slumped body. “Why, are you scared?” His tone seemed to hold a lilt of a taunt.

All the while, his data was taking hold within the body in his possession. Despite his synthetic origins, he grew to be able to affect organic life as most bugsters did. Once a good amount of his particles processed into Haneul’s brain, he decided to invite himself into his mind with some friendly digital telepathy:

A foreboding energy rustled through the air, like cold static that clung to the skin. The jingling of charms and pins caught the ear of a certain Bugster, his attention drawing towards the noise. “Ah, a new player?” Though, the face seemed familiar. Maybe someone from GENM? He slipped through the shadows that surrounded the newcomer, lying in wait for a response. 

“This should be fun.”
