How can you become important enough to be remembered or even considered for threads? I only have a few threads, and they all have fizzled out within 4 posts of starting. Some threads don't even get replied to and a month goes by, even though I've given reminders. They are all active, just not with me. I'm really patient, but when I see my threads haven't been replied to in over a month, I get down. What am I doing wrong that I don't matter as much? How do I make plots, when no one notices me?
Aww, weâre really sorry to hear youâve been having trouble with threads! :( Itâs a catch-22, but most players become âknown,â âimportant,â and âestablishedâ by simply roleplaying, and itâs often a matter of persistence and patience to get those threads finished. It may be hard to obtain and maintain initial interest, but itâs important not to lose hope! Some players are okay with polite reminders to reply, but some arenât â you can always double check at the start of the thread as to their preference. Regardless though, if itâs been a while since your partners have replied to your threads, donât be afraid to ask about an OOC ending â at least then you know what happened, even if you donât end up roleplaying it all out.You may also try considering a few things with your plots and threads: 1) are your plots too long-term? maybe something shorter or simpler would garner a better response? 2) are your posts interesting and easy to reply to? is there enough information for your partners to reply to? are they too wordy? 3) are you paying attention to your partnersâ posts or suggestions? are you missing dropped hints on the direction they might want to take or forgetting something they wanted to do?There might not be anything wrong with your plots or your writing, but it doesnât hurt to think about those things. It may just be a matter of perseverance though. We hope things improve for you soon! Donât give up!
