closed starter for @mvchinery - luke skywalker
perhaps it’s only because she knows of his existence now, but ahsoka can sense the boy’s presence with surprising ease as she approaches the base. it’s the only reason she can think of, that she hadn’t noticed him before. hadn’t picked up on a presence in the force that’s so familiar, though still completely new to her. though, she never recognised it in leia either, despite having met the girl so long ago. perhaps it had been safer that way - perhaps not, if she’d known, could she have done more for them? could she have helped them?
another thing to add to her list of things ahsoka has been far too late with to make a difference.
still, she approaches quickly, asking a few questions of his whereabouts before making her way to the hangar. somehow it doesn’t surprise her, to know anakin’s son has taken to flying much as he had, back... before. “luke?” she asks as she approaches the young man, his back turned to her as he checks something on a fighter. most likely his, if she had to guess. “i hoped you might have a few minutes to talk.” about what, ahsoka doesn’t quite know yet. she hoped she would understand what to do when she arrived, but.. despite having played through this scenario in her head a hundred times on the way, ahsoka could never really pinpoint exactly what she should say to the son of the man she couldn’t save. the son of the man she walked away from. the son she should have been there for, had she known.
perhaps this won’t be quite as easy as she thought.
